I love it, it reminds me of DotA and it's a ton of fun.

Just a bit tired to talk about HoN every now and then in the LoL thread, they are two very different games.

Even though I think LoL is terrible, at least it tries to not be DotA. HoN is a direct ripoff of DotA and is completely shameless about it, and costs 30 bucks. Why pay 30 bucks for a game you can play for free (well I guess assuming you have WC3 or pirated it)?

HoN is a copy of DotA, yes. But HoN runs isn't limited as WC3 is and icefrog gave up on DotA for DotA2.
I've played DotA for several years and changed to HoN because of better graphics, smoother gameplay and funnier to play overall.
It's far from the same so saying you have to pay 30 bucks to play a game you can play for free is kind of lame because they are quite different.
And i bought WC3 on release and same for TFT.

LoL removed the deny system, baby sitting doesnt matter, people barely ward, skillshots are a joke and most of the skills are still just slightly altered skills from DotA.
LoL is like the easier game where DotA and HoN require more skill, taking juking etc into concideration.

Won't deny this, I totally agree. The only thing I had against DotA / HoN was too many mechanics and easily overwhelming most players, which could explain the difference in popularity and players. Plus the talk about the HoN community being so unbelievably freaking terrible and shitty will easily turn away people.

Playing both games i can say that the community is equally shitty and filled with upstuck arrogant jerks that think they are #1 and never the reason their team is losing. Aka the average trash RTS gamer :/

Too many "Elitists" in these types of games will easily destroy the community as a whole.
