They put it on April 1st on purpose o_O. Though possible. I don't think IGN'll make their annual April Fools joke about a game as small as Vindictus. Can't forget that the game is run by Valve's Source engine.

Starting at midnight tonight, anyone playing Vindictus will see some mysterious additions to Nexon's action packed, session-based MMO. Although tomorrow is April Fool's day, this is no joke -- Valve characters and items are invading Vindictus. Portal's silent hero the Companion Cube and everyone's favorite ambiguously Eastern-European maniac Heavy Weapons Guy from Team Fortress 2 will be making appearances for one day only. They will be part of a new quest line called "Strange Travelers" which tasks players with helping the two return from whence they came.

While TF2 and Portal are great, we seem to be missing one very important Valve franchise. Completing the quest will randomly net players either Gordon Freeman's iconic crowbar, a Combine helmet, or a headcrab helmet. These, like the quest that dispenses them, are only available on April 1st, though they can be sold on the open market after that date. For clarification -- despite the April 1st release, these are real and only obtainable on Friday.

Also, there's a tab on the recent news thing on the Vindictus website that says April 1st with an outline of Heavy behind it.

It actually is real. I love this so much.

Oh my god. I just did the event. It was....epic. I can't believe they actually did that.

The cake is a lie. Again. And Heavy loves naked ladies.

Plus, I got the Combine Helmet AND the Crowbar (mine was a staff). Both are useless to me in combat; I'm a SCYTHE Evie and the HEAVY Combine Helmet is too heavy for me to wear.

P.S: Do it now! I had to spend 60k for this event for some lousy ores and prices are rising!

Prices actually got lowered. They were 30k a pop when I checked at 5. I got my 3rd bullet for 20k, and 5 minutes later, they were 18k. Managed to find two out of the 3 though plus 2 enhancements scolls that I'll never need. Anyone have a tunic/shield they want to enhance?
