Maplestory: Jump!

On Spadow's blog on the right hand side along with the Big Bang and Chaos logos, there is a new one called Maplestory Jump!


Is this a new big update? or is it the class reorganization with a fancy name? (though i suppose you can call that a big update )

The recent warrior restructuring is part of the ‘Jump’ update. Nexon released a press release today.

Its the class reorganization. I wonder if the whole update is just balancing, or if they could be adding new features.

I know I should have come to expect this by now when it comes to Nexon, but...

Anyone ever notice it's like losing a war? You can break up all their "downhill battles" by category. Names for example!

As long as the other options aren't "Loot", "Use Potions", "Abuse exploits and make overpowered items"...

But yeah, "Jump" sounds kind of lame.

I'm waiting for the one after this that focuses on fixing a ton of bugs and hacks.

I'm actually liking the skill update changes. Especially considering how broken this game is at its current state, especially if you're not a Paladin or Dual Blade. Sadly, the changes made during "Jump!" aren't good enough to balance the rest of the classes to the two I've mentioned.

Well, we have yet to see the rest of the classes. Nothing says that some classes (I'm looking at you DBs) won't be taken down a notch, or the rest brought up to match. I do believe KMS intend for DBs to be the class with most potential, but in the post chaos state it is just silly.

Why?

Chaos and Jump (so far) aren't even game-changing series patches. Nexon's just started actually looking into improving class design and balance. Imo they still suck at it.
