Alliances not working! (hack)

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!: Alliances are bugged as if our guild never joined one. However, under our character info, the alliance our guild was a part of is still there.

Consequentially, Alliance Chat won't work right either because of this.

This is a problem that happen over the weekend too. Maybe they will fix it during the sc. After the patch alliance was working fine

Oh thank god. I though my alliance was dead.

My alliance seems to be working, the other guild shows up under the alliance tab. IDK about alliance chat because the other guild in my alliance is just one of my guild leader's mules.

Rather than them not working, i think it's a hack.

I haven't seen this happen at all in the two alliances I'm in. o____o Has to be some sort of bug or hack cause if it thought the alliance was gone it wouldn't show the alliance at all.

Nexon locked my forum post about it when my guild got alliance hacked. We had to remake to fix it(faster than waiting for them to fix it).

Think of the guild hack, but with alliances. The hacker adds you to his alliance(whether you're in one or not, in our case, we[my guild] were owners of mine), then expels you. You can't talk to other guilds in your old alliance, but you can see their chats, can't see them online, but they can see you online.

o_O It's a hack? The alliance is working perfectly fine with me, though, and the guild that seems to have this problem is showing fine in my alliance list.

Alliance is fine on my battle mage...though, my Cygnus who is in a different guild but same alliance has this problem.

Odd. I'm logged in to a few characters, and the alliance thing is resolved @ I can see the alliance we're in again now. Alliance chat works correctly again too.

However, I never got that hack or anything. When I logged in yesterday, after a few mins, I noticed that the alliance system wasn't working right. Maybe it was someone else in the alliance that got the hack and never realized it...

Did you check in 'Clan? Because I logged on to it and the alliance is gone but it's completely fine in 'Force.

My alliance is still "gone" and I have confirmed with the owner of the other guild that he didn't cancel the alliance.

When new people join guilds that are gone from the alliance they can talk and see the chat. Others that were already in the alliance and join a guild thats within the alliance see double alliance chat.

If they knew what they were doing, they could spam your guild/ally chat and keep an entire guild offline w/out spamming them all individually..

Hm, so perhaps this is why some random person asked me who my guild leader was last week. Although I didn't notice anything strange happening since then, other than the alliance list being screwed up for most of my fellow guildies from time to time (although alliance chat for everyone in my guild still works just fine).

My guess? It's partly a glitch, and partly a hack. Unless something in our guild/alliance prevented the final steps of the hack from taking place.

...Hey, is there a maximum number of guilds that can be in an Alliance at a time?

EDIT: Ah, that explains everything. Thanks, I'll tell all the guilds not to leave the alliance. Not that they would, anyways.

5 Guilds is the max for an alliance.

This happened to us when hackers did it to us Last SUMMER -_-. Then they stopped, but have been periodically doing it since December. My ticket on the matter has been open since december, with the last response being: "Is this still occurring" lol...

I'm actually glad it's more widespread now, more chance they'll actually fix it.

The worst is when they make it that it's impossible to tab into the alliance tab without DC'ing due to an improper guild emblem.

agh, First Guild hack now this -_-
though, One thought here; has this happened to anyone without alliance?

Luckily, we have 5 guilds in our alliance, so no hacks for us... Except if hackers can bypasss it?
