Sarah Palin =/= President.
#1
One of the things we need to look out in this election is that, when McCain kicks the bucket in 2 years.. We're going to have a crazy woman that governed Alaska. The same thing could happen to Obama as well, a racist could start something and maybe Obama will get killed and we have Biden as president. Well one of things is that if America does vote for McCain and he dies, would you want Sarah Palin as a president of our united states?

Good luck America. Rolleyes

Bush was still reasonably well liked until his approval rating hit perpetually decline into the shitheap after the Iraq war started in '03.

I've got enough faith in the Secret Service to keep Obama alive, but McCain biting the dust seems a little too probable. And Palin scares me.Frown

Look on the bright side though, we won't have to worry about Russia. Palin's all over that problem.Rolleyes

Everyone always hating on Palin

Hilarious

Did you notice that Biden took every question towards him and used it to somehow bash on McCain. Palin answered her question straight on, and if Biden was once again attacking the McCain / Palin ticket, she would easily defuse it.

Quite shameful Democrats

And at that point, it became popular to hate Bush

Lol. McCain is 72. Average life expectancy is 77. He'll probably be just fine.

Sarah Palin was talking about alaska the whole time, and all that crap she said about relating to the average mom in america is dumb, a president is suppose to be strong and different, not like like hockey moms or soccer moms running errands. we need people who can give this country a change.

Isn't change inevitable though? I mean something else is obviously gonna happen whichever party goes into office. In my opinion, using change as a slogan/excuse is kinda useless 0-o

And on topic: She doesn't have to be a bad president. She could be wonderful for all you know, for all anyone knows... We just need to see how the country decides...

And why does everyone expect McCain to die? I mean he isn't that old... 72 isn't old on today's standards... Both McCain and Obama have an equal chance of dying in office, just like you and me. Death is unexpected, but seeing as he isn't dead and doesn't look like he is dying, then it's safe to say that he won't die within the next year (at the least).

p.s. what did you want to spoiler? I don't see anything =(

I swear that those videos you posted made my brain a bit mushy. I think I even felt the same way when I watched the actual VP debate. Eek

Even before Sept 11th, Bush's approval rating went down to 45% because he kept taking vacations.

I was near Ground 0 during Sept 11 because my school is right next to the Pentagon. I believe Bush's approval rating during Sept 11 was over 80%, and the Patriot Act, with all its flaws, was passed in the atmosphere surrounding that situation.

You don't get it, do you. Evil people live forever because they don't give a pumpernickel about anything. That's why Edwards looks like he's thirty when he's over 50, (he recently lost his political legitimacy because of sex scandal.) FDR did die of old age while in office, but they only made the two-term rule after him, and he served more than two. Think about it, what sort of person sends 15,000 people to their deaths and then sleeps soundly at night? That's the sort of decision a President makes every day. It is not a position for nice people.

I am actually a conservative, but I'll admit McCain/Palin are evil, if you admit Obama/Biden are evil too. What really makes me headdesk is these people, on both sides of the fence, who whine about the evils of politics and politicians, but then the candidate they're voting for is always "better than that." Politics is a bunch of rabid dogs killing each other, and these four got to the top over their competitors' dead bodies. Obama is not a nice gentle guy, no more than Palin. You CANNOT interpret someone's intent based on what they say in front of millions of people live on the air. The true story is always behind the scenes, in private hidden email addresses, and private congressional meetings. I assure you, McCain and Obama are not exactly all smiles in those.

It may have been, Bush's approval rating took a sharp rise after September 11th, but my point was for before September 11th. He didn't do much before then and already looked like a lame duck president. Not a single member of congress after September 11th even read the Patriot Act. Of course his approval rating went down after the war in Iraq because it was an unjustified war to start with for the purpose of profiteering.

I agree, as politics is definitely a situation with the lesser of two evils prevailing, not some "perfect" candidate.

Considering whoever is elected will be my highest ranking boss for the majority of my enlistment, Id rather have someone with a ton of military experience be elected

Here's the chart I pulled from
[Image: BushFullTerm20061208.png]
Each dot is a separate poll, so a an average in the low-mid 50% range doesn't seem too bad for a president that did nothing during that time span nothing.

@Dae - You wouldn't prefer someone who is less of a warhawk?

Imagine this. Your child needs a heart transplant. Its a risky operation, with only a 20% probability that it will succeed and your child will live. Would you pick a person who has only been a doctor for 3 years and hasnt done the operation before, only assisted and watched? Or a doctor who has over 35 years experience and has done the operation before?

Obama is a joke. The only reason he has a chance are people like Star Jones and their "omg i r wanna te4ch my kids that a black man can be president" fiasco. Its ridiculous. I keep being called a racist because I dont like Obama. I dont like him because WHAT HAS HE DONE? Nothing, and he has barely sat in his Senate chair. If anything some people are totally making this about race by voting for him because he is black. AND HE ISNT EVEN BLACK. He's half white. Even if he does get elected, he'd be the first non-fully-white president, if anything.

Then there is Biden. Not one answer of his during the debate didnt have to do with attacking the Right in some way. He says there is no such thing as clean coal on one interview, then during the debate he insists that we need to export clean coal tech to China

Imagine someone is raped and here you got Palin who makes rape victims pay for their rape kits because she's so freaking pro life. Who cares if a rape kit has the morning after pill.

McCain and Palin suck. My opinion. You don't have to like it and in fact I don't care if you like it or not. Not once in my previous statement did I say OMG I LOVE OBAMA/BIDEN!@!@!@#!$!@#$

The last thing this country needs is another Bush in office.

With McCain, you won't have that choice, because it'll cost too much to hire someone competent, and the people with talent will continue to move to other countries where the government appreciates their service.

Grats on your cheap doctor.
