AFK 25/8 farming another 10 orbs for level 2!
Also if anyone was wondering, the 2nd set of orbs requires you to get them from either Blue Flower Serpents or Cube Slimes.

And can it only be upgraded every 10 levels you gain, or if you're already over leveled you can proceed to do all the quests to max it one after the other?

Getting the 20 dews took ~8 hours give or take a few minutes due to breaks / afks.
Getting the 10 Soul Light orbs took ~7 hours, again, give or take a few.

Mind you this was solely on x2 drop. I bought a 24 hour x2 drop card and pretty much farmed all day today.

Also I was able to get the 2nd part right off the bat. The 2nd quest required a level of 80+ to get it.

Well, "a" Paladin. The rest of us are stuck with acb until we're bored enough to think farming dews and orbs is something worth doing.

The damage definitely isn't bad, but from what I've noticed from my gear / damage, it's about 20k-60k weaker than ACB on certain conditions. Without either skill getting any crits, SD is only about 20k weaker. If ACB crits, it's 60k weaker, but if all 4 hits of SD crit, it very slightly beats my ACB crit by about 10k-20k. Although the chances of all 4 SD hits critting at 15% rate is extremely low.

It's definitely a fun skill to use though. Considering Cube Slimes is the only monster out of the two that has a pure spawn map, it really helps when trying to get the few slimes on the upper platforms, ACB can barely reach it, as SD can get them with ease.

I'm anxious to see how much my SD damage improves at level 2, granted it only improving by +30%. I'm already 3 Soul Orbs up, so hopefully I'll get it on Sunday or Monday.

I'll admit that "stuck with" was the wrong wording, I should have said "will stick with." If I had used that wording from the beginning my post wouldn't have sounded nearly as pessimistic.

The main point of my first post was that those quests take too long, and most Paladins aren't bored enough to do them.

The trouble is, Paladins don't have any good trash-mobbing skills until they get SD... hunting that crap is a pain with ACB's poor range and Rush's cooldown

yup yup, as far as I'm aware. Opening up the quest log shows the level requirement for the 2nd SD quest being "Over Level 80". I'm willing to bet the next 3 quests are the exact same, 90+/100+/110+.

Which is expected. I pretty much have the mindset that maxing out SD will help me AND my LHC groups out in the long run, considering it easily out DPSes / DPMs ACB.

Side-note, I ended at 5 orbs when the SC hit. The slimes are being far more generous than Ultra Grays, since I got all 5 within 2 hours.

I want to do that too... but... I want to level more. Waited so long to be able to train, and, to be honest, I don't think Soul Driver will really do much for my Hero, especially at LHC.
Might do it for looks, anyway, if I get sick of training.
