Dear Maplers,

First of all, you guys did an amazing job in creating the most destructive mechs in all of Maple World for the Design Your Own Mech web contest. The Black Wings don't stand a chance against these devilish creations. There were so many great designs that were submitted and we had to choose, so after a long debate we decided on the following winners. Congrats to them!

Love the grandprize one. Finally a grand prize winner that didn't submit something crappy as hell. 2nd place ruined it of course. Had it been hand drawn and made to look a bit more epic then maybe it'd have a chance at top.... hell that should've just been instantly tossed out.

Grand prize is terrible. First place is amazing. Far more creative than grand prize. Second place shouldn't have even been considered; anyone can paste a bunch of monsters together.

The pink teddy? It's kind of unproportional and just plain dull. While the grand prize entry aint the best drawn, it captures the Maple feeling quite nicely. Second price is just sad.

Are we looking at the same pictures here? The Grand Prize image doesn't feel maple-y at all. It's just a lot of shades of grey. It actually seems more like something you'd encounter in a Final Fantasy than Maple.

I'm no artist so maybe I'm missing the finer points that make the pink teddy "unproportional" because it looks pretty proportionate to me. It has far greater detail and shading than the grand prize image, as well as better use of colouring and a far more charming style. It also doesn't feel as cluttered as the grand prize image, but is clearly packing some fire power. I have to wonder if it's just the fact that it's pretty girly that's making people give it a thumbs down.

Wasnt talking about the actual art style of the grand prize, more the design, with pets, auto pot etc. I'm no artist either so I can only base my opinion on how the pictures speak to me. Found nothing girly with the teddy, I do not even connect pink to girls after all the pomegranate I have had to read about gender and sex during my uni studies to become a teacher.

The teddy looks like a recoloured version of Monzaemon (the giant yellow bear digimon).

I like first over grand. It actually looks different compared to whats in game, unlike the grand prize which is just another heap of metal.
