Well, first off I know MS & MS-related forums are rarely a place to go polling for "political insight", but I've realized that MS is probably a pretty average (maybe higher Asian representation?) teenage demographic. At any rate, this will help with my AP Stats assignment, I need sets of data and to describe the shape, outliers, measures of central tendency, and something else that I can't remember at the moment .. and it is due sometime next week.
So first off take the test at Political Compass If willing and possible, post your results here. Also answer the poll with which quadrant your red dot appeared. Anyways, if 25 people can answer that would be great.
My data (for the curious):
Economic Left/Right: 5.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.10
But I answered more personally than I would have hoped. I'm generally against government interference into any person's private matters, unless it is crime (as defined by normal laws, nothing totalitarian). Eh...

Discussing politics amongst others is a good way to make enemies out of your friends.

For those who don't know, quadrants are numbered like this:
I'm quadrant III.
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.31
I've taken this once or twice before, and I know I got in the same quadrant, but I don't recall the numbers.
Note that if you're looking strictly for teenage responses, disregard my data.
Edit: Why is this in Pits of Hell? O_o

Good job being proactive with your project!
I'm a bit of a political fencerider so my opinion won't really count for much. I will say that perhaps this may be a quite biased poll? (selection bias) Is there a possibility that only the people who feel strongly about the topic will bother to do the poll? Also, what about the many teenagers who don't go on MapleStory forums but are political activists? Or aren't political activists?
You have probably already thought of all this of course! It's just that some vague memories of statistics occurred to me - interesting stuff. I'm not a teenager so I won't offer my results.
Good luck with your analysis.

Edit: Why is this in Pits of Hell? O_o I was in the wrong forum when I clicked new thread =[. Thanks for explaining in case people didn't know =]. As for teenage data, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hmm, under 30? I just want to get it done haha.
To Sign: Yeah I figured it be skewed towards people who are politically active, but I figured people in any 4 of the quadrants are just as likely to care about politics? Of course it isn't true, but it should be roughly correct... I think. I'll make sure to explain the audience that will most likely be answering the poll.
To Cyadd: Why of course, but I find it interesting how oddly I stick out (or rather don't?)

Huh. Pretty odd.
Economic Left/Right: -1.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.59
Maybe I skimmed the questions too much and rushed through it. I definitely don't consider myself more towards the left than the right in terms of economic policies.
Took it again.
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 0.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.85
I think this one is more of my views, so take whichever. This would be Quadrant 4.

well into the quadrant III. Not surprising at all, this is pretty typical of my results on these types of tests.

I'm in Quadrant III
Economic Left/Right: -3.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.33
I've taken this test before...and that time I was in almost the same spot, except I was dead center on the vertical scale, so the point was on the x-axis. So which quadrant do people put who end up on the axis? =P
Good luck with your project.

I had a go at it because I was really curious about where I would come out.
I have not voted on the poll yet, because I wanted to make sure that you actually wanted my data (I'm not in the US)
Economic Left/Right: -3.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.64
Looks like I'm just the same as 80% of the population lol
Good luck with your assignment!
I personally don't agree with using convenience surveys to collect data though. Random samples are way better

Haha doesn't really matter, I just need any 25 numbers (in regards to random sampling). So thanks everyone who posted their results.
