I grew up in the home system age, so the only actually "arcade machine" I would ever drop tons of money on is either House of Dead V, DDR, or Time Crisis.

There was this one Simpsons game I ended up wasting five dollars on... Can't even remember what it's called now.

When I was younger, Tekken 2. I always ended up putting in more and more quarters, just to play. But when I grew up, I remember playing DOA3 or whatever at arcades. Sh`it was beast, til I ended up getting DOA3 and DOA Ultimate for my Xbox at the time, then I never spent money again at any arcades.

EDIT: Oh, how can I ever forget.. MOTHERF`UCKING SOUL CALIBUR. Yes, the very 1st one. I always played as Lizardman. After the 1st one, he sucked. Then I never played as him again.

Simpsons and that one shooter game that wasn't about aliens or zombies, but where you and a partner were cops or some such.

My parents were part of a bowling league, and on Friday nights they brought my brothers and I with them to the bowling alley instead of hiring a babysitter. Huzzah for being an alley brat.

Tekken - The original. King was the man. I remember beating a high school boy who felt like challenging me, and him asking how old I was. When I told him I was twelve, his buddies laughed at him. It felt good.
Area 51 - This one got me really hooked. Maria (my fellow alley brat) and I played so much that we eventually memorized baddie spawn patterns and powerup locations and could reach the final boss on one or two credits. We even drew small crowds occasionally, though I had no idea why at the time. Looking back, I think it would have been pretty awesome to watch two twelve year old girls completely own a shooting game.
Virtual On - The only cabinet I ever knew of was in Japantown so I didn't get to play it much in the arcades, but man. So much awesome. Also part of why I love my Saturn.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - I was pretty hardcore into Sailor Moon at the time, so naturally I fell in love with Sakura. I got my ass handed to me pretty bad, but I still had a ton of fun. Even though I was quiet as a mouse, in my head I got to hang out with super cool boys and give them free wins play video games with them.
DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION - Yes. Expert doubles, bitch. Instead of using my lunch money on food, I'd starve and save it for DDR. Hooray! <3
Initial D - Played versions 1-3... SO MUCH MONEY. I must have dumped literally hundreds of dollars into this game. $10 Tuesdays and Thursdays at Boomers helped, but augh. So. Much. Money. Haha, now that I think of it, Kevin and I flirted a shitton playing this game together. I could barely reach the pedals because I'm vertically impaired, so eventually I asked him to be my booster seat. I'M SO SNEAKY RIGHT?

Soul Calibur and DDR. ESPECIALLY DDR. I'm not that good at it but that doesn't make it any less fun. <3

My parents didn't let me play that much as a kid. Sad

Various arcade games I played at differing ages include Street Fighter II, DDR, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Initial D, and Maximum Tune.

It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Oh man, there was just a thread in the Gaming section recently for the one I'm about to mention, and it got me totally nostalgic. This game is none other than the OCEAN HUNTER. Man, this game was awesome. Me and my friends would play this game on co-op and rotate and take turns when someone died; and we'd dump so many coins into this game. The arcade that had this game that I used to go to has unfortunately long since sold its machine, or something. I actually just recently found out that it's a really rare game when I went to look up information on this game since we never did beat it. I was suprised to see that there were a few people on Southperry who actually knew about this too.

Also, usual Time Crisis and DDR.

You do remember King was a girl, not a guy.
