This one old game....

So yea I need some help.... Long ago I discovered a VERY fun arcade game. It was like one of those shoot-em-up games where you had a certain number of bullets and when you ran out you had to shoot the side of the screen. In it you were these... I don't know like bounty hunters who tracked down mythological sea monsters. I wish I could remember its name.... can anyone help me remember?
