DETROIT (Reuters) - A Michigan man was believed to have killed his wife and two young sons before committing suicide, police said on Saturday.

Mark Schons, 39, was found dead in his sports utility vehicle in a parking lot on Friday, two hours after police discovered the bodies of his wife and children in their home, authorities said.

Police went to the house in Novi, Michigan after a friend of the family notified authorities that the two children, Tynan, 6, and Camden, 4, did not show up for school and their mother, Jennifer Schons, 38, had missed an appointment.

Jennifer Schons had suffered multiple "sharp force injuries" and the boys had been asphyxiated with neck compressions, suggesting they were strangled, William Presley, Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office investigator, said on Saturday.

Police found Mark Schons, considered a suspect in his family's deaths, dead in his vehicle. The cause was carbon monoxide poisoning, Presley said.

Police in Novi, about 25 miles northwest of Detroit, called it an apparent homicide/suicide.

Family members and friends told police the couple was considering divorce. Local media also said they had filed for bankruptcy in December.

You posted a completely random article verbatim.

What about it?

The speakeasy is for discussion, not random news articles.
You've posed no questions here, you've provided no discussion material. What is the point?

This guy is fucking sick. He killed himself in a Lowe's parking lot about 10 minutes away from where I live. He bought a grill, turned it on in his car, and locked himself in there until he died. Fucking coward.

Just want to take this oppurtunity to say that threads like these are becoming more and more routine in the Speakeasy and it's annoying. We all know how to read and watch the news.

I mean, if you guys feel this urge to post news articles on my Southperry then it could at least be about something exciting, like gay rights, or video games.

It's not the posting of random articles I object to, it's failing to say what you want to discuss about it thats on my nerves.
Did Gregory know the guy? What motivation did he have for posting it? Does he live near it? Does he envy this guy? Did a similar thing happen to his puppy?

Most of the users that post articles don't really say/infer more than "What do you guys think about this article?" which isn't really different from what the OP probably wants from this thread.

I mean, just look at SEAMapler's threads...

I GUESS

anyway to give my input on this article it is quite boring and uninteresting; there are "family member killed son, daughter, spouse, and cat" stories every month, they're depressing for about five minutes and then you get over it and accept that it will happen again in a few weeks

Happens in oakland all the time, but you don't see them in the news huh? (Okay not to THAT extreme, but you get the point).
