innocent statement being taken out of context, or cheap shot at certain practices?

Earlier on in the week i made the decision to go for quest specialist to pass the time and found myself doing kerning square quests. upon reaching one of the last sets i found this dialog

immediately i found this to be a jab at people operating/using PS's, but then thought it was me looking into it to deeply. thoughts?

I just find it funny that the character in the quest is being plagarised, when in fact the NPC is plagarising actual real life music with a few tweaks in tempo. "NPC says something along the lines of : "ZOMG he stealing MY MUSIC" when the music the dude plays is actually someone else's o_o

It indirectly attacks people who illegally download stuff, yes, but are you really that concerned with a few lines of texts in a video game? :/

I think that's possible, even though it's probably just a translation, but I'm sure they love having such a message in the game. If it is intentional though, it's a pretty clever jab lol I've done that quest tons of times and this is the first I've seen of someone mentioning this.

When I read that at first, I definitely thought it was a shot at private servers and copyright infringement. I mean, with things like "Tanye East" (Was that the name?) in there, it's probable that the people editing Kerning Square weren't afraid to throw little snippets like that in there.

I don't think it has to do with PServers at all. All of KSquare is all about music. Why not take a jab at the MAFIAA?

The way its worded doesnt seem to imply music infringement. It's wierd to use "access" when taling about a song in my eyes.

I noticed this a while ago too and thought it was worthy of an SS. I wouldn't say that they are specifically jabbing someone as much as any and all things "hurting" the media in the business sense.

But then, I also took an SS of that Zakum Gem guy since what he said implied that selling ZHelms shouldn't be done. Which I found amusing since when I actually cared about achievements in game, I agreed with that.

That line was just said because the storyline of Kerning Square involves music being stolen from the original creator or something like that....its kinda ironic considering just about everything in Kerning Square (and the majority of online games) is copied from something else.

Someone should make a character, deck him out in some of those "original" cash shop clothes, and take a screenshot with that character in the dialogue box. You could wear a naruto jacket and everything~

I certainly wouldn't rule it out as a shot at private servers. Not everything in the game is just translated from another version of the game.

Korea has a huge problem with people downloading videos/manga/music illegally. I think it is the same with the US but on a much bigger scale. So they threw it in there as a sort of public statement? My 2 cents.
