I have two bows, both 131 attack.
One has Attack 6% and the other Total Damage 6%.
Which one gives the better bonus, and any idea how much better that bonus is?

Attack% - Does not apply to the attack given by potions/active skills
Total Damage% - Apparently does not stack with 30% boss damage I stand corrected.
So total damage unless you have also 30% boss damage on it.

Total damage + Total damage do NOT stack and will provide the lower bonus of all of the ones on the weapon
Boss damage + boss damage (see above)
Total damage + boss damage DO stack and is multiplicative.

Total damage will always be equal or better than ATTACKS, simply because total damage's factor is by itself. Whereas dark aura and echo stack additively to ATTACKS, so you won't get quite as much of a boost compared to total damage. i.e. total damage * (ATTACKS + dark aura + echo)

So my 12% Total Damage, 8% Total Damage Axe is only giving me 8% Total Damage how heart breaking.

So which is better to have? Total Damage or Attack?

so the best possible to have would be since they all stack with each other is
1st best because they all stack
30% boss
8% stat
8% stat
2nd best because they all stack
30% boss
8% stat
8% attack
this following are not good if total damage and boss damage dont stack
3rd best
30% boss
8% total damage
8% stat
4th best
30% boss
8% total damage
8% attack
Is this correct? Otherwise please rank them in the proper order.

Actually %stat is utterly wasted on a weapon.
%stat is additive, which means the more of it you have (on all your gear), the less each adds.
If you already have %100 total primary-stat added, getting another 8% stat on your weapon only gives you 4% more damage, as your total primary-stat goes from 200% to 208%.
Since %attack can only appear on a weapon, you can't already have lots of it, so 8% attack on your weapon will increase your damage by about 8% (doesn't apply to some buffs, as listed above).
Same for %total damage, except that as far as I know it is applied *after* all buffs and so it's a little better.
Two more useful potentials that you can have on your weapon are %crit and %ignore-def.
There's a thread somewhere around here comparing %bossdmg to %ignoredef, which is better depends on what your class is and what the boss's PDrate is.
Not so sure about crit rate.
