Ever heard of the saying "If you put your mind to it you can achieve great things." I was thinking about that saying last night and was thinking about our "fates" too. I believe our fates decide what we do in the future. You have to be born pretty to be a model or like have that one special skill to make you go professional ______<insert job. What do you guys think?

Even though some of our skills depends on genetics and luck, a heavy part still depends on your motivation.
Example: Shawn Johnson, when born, had an APGAR score of 0. That's the worst state of health you can be at birth. She could of mind as well given up and settled for some kind of non-stressful career. However, she put her mind to becoming a gymnast, and look where she is now.
Okay okay, that's not exactly the greatest example, but I just had to pull the Shawn Johnson reference.
Better example: You could be beautiful at birth, but if you're not that inclined to become a model or something and eat a lot of junk food, you could might as well be obese.

Well I kind of think some people are destined for great things and some people aren't. God set it that way so it'd be balance and not everyone be the same..

Fate? I dont believe that crap. I believe that instead the unvirse is based on decisions, and that there are too many instances of conscious beings altering the chemical reaction of the universe.
