What does your school's period bell sound like? How many does it have? etc.
My school has two bells: the 1st bell 5 minutes before the period ends (this is when the teacher is expected to dismiss us, but they rarely follow this guideline), and the 2nd bell when the period ends.
The 1st bell changed from last year. Last year it was just 6 times of two soft 'dong' sounds. Now it changed to some disruptive short tune (again with those soft 'dongs' - Singaporean students will know what I mean) that repeats twice >_>
The 2nd bell has remained the same throughout the schools I've been do: a 10-note (same kind of sound) tune, nice, simple, and not disruptive.
My friend says his previous school had 1.5 minutes of Edelweiss as the school bell...
I think I'm just happy our school bells aren't actual bells. Like those in the US.
