Has anyone checked this out?

I haven't seen this around the forums yet, so if its already posted then this will have to be excused. Its called Personality System, and it gives quite a bit of bonuses for your character (though nothing too grand or overpowering). It is linked to your professions. The personality system. I think it’s great. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, that’s okay. I’ll explain it again.
There are six personality stats that you can increase:

Charisma (can be increased by hunting bosses)
Increase in PvP damage
Increase in ignoring the monster’s defense
Decrease in EXP upon death

Sense (can be increased by collecting herbs)
Increase in MP
Increase in quest EXP

Insight (can be increased by mining and revealing the hidden potential of items)
Increase in accuracy
Increase in avoidability
The ability to reveal the hidden potential of an item without using a magnifying glass

Will (can be increased by completing party quests, by gaming time and by leveling up profession skills)
Increase in HP
Increase in physical defense
Increase in magic defense
Resistant to statuses

Craft (can be increased by creating equips/items)
Increase in the success rate of of scrolls
Increase in the success rate of getting double the skill efficiency you earn

Charm (Charm can be increased by equipping/using cash items and when your fame goes up)
Increase of a new equip slot (pocket slot)
Facial expression rewards

The bonuses as stated before arn't overpowering apparently. Level 18 Craft brings you a 3% probability for double the skill efficiency and a 1.5% increase in scroll success rate. Level 6 will increases HP by 100 and overall DEF by 5. Level 18 Charisma allows you to ignore 1.5% Defense, increases PVP damage by 3%, and drops EXP loss upon death. Etc.

Well, we know about it, but there haven't been any threads.

I wonder what the max level for those skills are. could be some pretty awesome bonuses at max.

Apparently you can only get the increase of equip slot (pouch) once it reaches max level... which is apparently 30.

EDIT: Scratch that, apparently level 30 isn't max level, but the equip slot is rewarded at that level.

The max levels aren't known but i'm guessing they max at level 100. The bonuses per level are too small for the system as a whole to be beneficial, so it would make sense for the max levels to be high and hard to achieve. There's a daily cap on how much your personality stats can grow anyway apparently.

Really excited for this system. More reason for me to do stuff in game rather than AFK or wait for new content.

Actually, I think we can estimate the max level by that image below there. There are 8 "gray lines", and at level 18, it's a little bit above the first line, so I'd assume each line is 15 levels. So max = 120, maybe?

Other than that, DO WANT.

ONE THING I NEED TO KNOW.

Does the personality thing get reset whenever you change jobs? Because if not, it's possible to get EVERYTHING maxed at some point...

You mean profession, right? Cuz you either level sense or you don't.

Sense doesn't seem that important at all... unless you're a mage who wants more MP.

Well yeah. But the point is whether or not you can max everything, and to do that you would have to be able to level all of the personas which you can or can't do with sense.

All I mean is, changing professions resets personality aswell? I know you can switch professions, but it resets the level. I'd just like to know if it only resets the profession's level or also your personality. Because then it'd be the only way to max ALL.

Someone asked that to Spadow in the comments of another post. He said "when you unlearn a skill, you won’t lose anything except for the skill level and efficiency." so yes you can max everything

Sense seems good because it makes quests more of a viable option if your bored with grinding.

That is if the exp increase is actually noticable.

So staying online for extended periods of time slowly increases my hp?

So this expansions replaces maker, right? So does that mean that one of the professions allows you to make class equips? And if so, can it make any equips, or just for one's job?

Yes it does, actually "Blacksmithing" does. This system as a whole, is something much much more. Maker is removed.

Whether it's equips of your class or all classes, I don't know. But what I know is that you can only make 70+ gear and you can no longer customize the stats in the making, like with maker :/ Jewel Crafting can be used to make accessories (rings, shoulderpads etc)

Daimean Wrote:So staying online for extended periods of time slowly increases my hp?

Apparently. I hope its not X hours in row, because that will never work with all crashes, freezes, unscheduled servers checks and d/cs in gMS.

My 17lvl Ring already turned into lvl14 one, because of Nexon failing >.>

Hm, so this means stuff like Advanced DEX Crystals are going to be worthless once this arrives? I might as well use mine, then.

I've seen a screenshot over at ElinForest that suggests items crafted after this patch can already come out with unidentified potential, though.

Doubt it... seeing as Monster Crystals are still used:

On a side note, everything you craft has your name labeled on it as the creator. They also added some joke items such as Giant Potion, which increases your characters visible size and does damage when you jump up and down (stomping)

Spadow immediately mentions that Monster Crystals are worthless after that picture. What you see there is actually Item Crystals from the Alchemy profession instead.

Looking around even more at ElinForest, it seems you can't even choose the color of equips that you craft through Blacksmithing, and there's no mention of strengthened crystals being able to be used under this new system. The hell?

Those are item crystals not monster crystals, btw.

Ah ninja'd.
