What's a good way to make mesos?
#1
So basically, I'm running out of cash and wondering what would be an effective way to make some moneys WITHOUT merchanting? (I hate it and its boring) >:

I was thinking of farming and selling Steelies since they have a high drop rate, but their prices are falling fast and that doesn't seem like an effective way to make moolah anymore.

What level are you? If you have time, you can hunt maple warrior 20 (it drops, my guildie got it, forgot what monster though but since we have kms drop tables should be easy enough to find) or triple throw 30.

Train at mobs that might drop a good mastery book. Make monster crystals out of their etc drops, disassemble their equip drops for more monster crystals (unless they are 3-lined potential or otherwise exceptional stats). Bemoan the fact the book never drops, sell the monster crystals and whatever decent equips or scrolls drop... Not a way to get rich but it keeps me above water, potion-money-wise, and doesn't take time away from training.

I'm level 129.

I've considered soloing Zakum for the drops - I know it's doable, I can do arms solo in about 40 minutes. But once I get to 1st/2nd body I get sprite flicker problems, etc. and I leave because I figure I'll DC.

Are you zakking with sound driver disabled, and still getting those graphic problems?

Zakum drops aren't all that great for money, IMHO. Both helms and skillbooks are barely worth the karma (unless you have a cheap source of NX, and in that case gach may be an easier route to go), mastery books are cheap, and equips are even cheaper (since people would rather use Maker for better initial stats). But I suppose for a couple hours work it's not bad, as long as you don't d/c.

I went into Zak yesterday with the music on - the sound loop crap doesn't happen anymore. I think it was just Maple's general memory leak BS.

EDIT: On a side note, I'm seeing Zak Helms go for 90m Karma'd in the FM.

it's might also help to find a trainable mob that drops lots of 70+ earrings and capes. Keep training until you find % stat items. 3 line items and already epic (or if you're really lucky unique) items are worth a decent amount.
