ISP evaluation help.
#1
Hi! I recently started to want a new internet connection but I'm not exactly tech-savvy, so I asked a friend for help and he had a look through =Internet+Service+Providers+(ISP)]the yellow pages in my area. From then on, though, we were both lost!

A few names I do recognize are Comcast, Qwest, Clear (currently using) and something else I don't quite remember at this time. The thing is, I've been told that Comcast is known (yes, he said she said) to be maliciously disappointing in various aspects while others have just no problem with them.
I have seen Qwest's advertisements everywhere, and while it's securing me enough about their legitimacy, it also puts a weight on my mind as to why they need to go through such lengths to make themselves known.

So my question is, for the area provided, what provider would you suggest? If you can't answer that well enough, can you help me dig up some truth about Comcast and Qwest, the second of whom is currently having a really fishy deal going on?

A lot of thanks and chinchillas to you.

www.speedtest.net And click Begin Test.

I'm just curious, please tell me your numbers on that. Is your problem slow speed, or that you're losing internet connection randomly? Or you just don't like Clear?

Personally I use none of those so I don't want to really advise you, but I'd say Comcast.

I just think it's about time to upgrade, though there is the annoyance from random disconnections that happen repeatedly once started.

Yeah lol your numbers are pretty low.

On the top right of that site they have a "World Results" tab. Click it.

Then above the map they have a "Your Location" tab. Click.

It rates ISP's in your area. It may help you choose.
