99.99% EXP

For the first time in my Maple life, I saw 99.99% exp.

Any one knows why 99.98% was the max pre BB?

Last I heard it was something to do with rounding.

Some weird programming limitation, just like why HP/MP was capped at 30k pre-BB.

I've seen 99.99% plenty of times. It just depends on how much EXP was being calculated.

If you are getting 00.01% per kill you would see it. If you were getting 00.015 or higher you might not.

Never saw it before BB on kMS, now after BB I do.

This is what seems logical, but it's not how it worked. You could have 999,999/1,000,000 exp, and your exp bar would still display 99.98%. Unless you have picture evidence, I would suggest you just believe the majority on this one.

No matter HOW close you got (even within 1 exp of leveling, like...999,999/1,000,000), your exp bar would ALWAYS say 99.98%.

I remember this same thread in EF, and I was like "Uh what? I remember seeing 99.99% all the time"...but I also haven't played Pre-BB since like 4-5 years ago, which is why.

They probably had some kind of round-off bug that would show 100.00 under some conditions, so instead of finding and fixing it they just put in a hard-coded -0.01%.

I don't remember the version I started playing MS. I just remember there was no Orbis and few patches before eye color selection was removed from character creation screen.

I thought that was fixed like a month or so before bb...

Interesting, because back then you could get 99.99%. Oh well, not that it really matters.
