The literal discription for Soul Charge (at MAX) is:
20 MP Cost: 35, Sanctity Duration: 300 sec, Sanctity Damage: +130%
Pre-BB, Soul Charge added a base amount of damage (like the Paladin's charges) and then was 50% elemental. When fighting Holy Weak monsters, your damage increased by 25%. This description, however, leads me to believe that you don't get base damage but instead get 30% more damage when fighting Holy Weak monsters. I have no complaints if that is the case, as Dawn Warriors would have a tremendous amount of damage, but it would help decided which order I learn my 3rd job skill.
Could someone enlighten me on how this works Post-BB? Is the 30% base damage or elemental damage? If base, what is the elemental bonus when fighting Holy Weak mobs?

Unless I am missing some skill in my calculations earlier today, it should be 130% damage on anything and 150% more (or so) on holy-weak. My range at max on my DW is 42xx (warrior elixir, skipped rage). My BR is level 15 and does 225% damage. At Jr. Wraiths, I can hit up to 18000 per swing (crit). When I was doing calculations, I forgot I had 1 combo and got 16xxx max hit. My Soul Charge is level 8 so I assumed I had less advantage (120% or so, like it was pre-BB). So I would assume, it means 130% dmg to all, 130% * 150% to holy-weak.
If it matters, I am level 78.

You'll get more damage per point in Soul Charge than Combo I think, but you should have a little bit of both to start off. Never mind, most combinations of Combo and Soul Charge for the same points favours Combo. The difference is very insignificant, and it's really just about the bigger increase when you get more Orbs for Combo, compared to how Soul Charge doesn't change much going from 1 to 20; just get a comfortable Soul Charge timer. It does 100% elemental damage at all levels now I believe though so you do significantly more damage to Holy Weak.

Actually, with Combo Attack's change to X% per orb, level 20 is 125% where level 1 is 103%. Soul Charge starts at 111% and ends at 130%. I'm thinking that unless I plan on fighting Holy-Resist mobs, I should get some Soul Charge first followed by maxed Driver, finishing Soul Charge, and then Combo Attack. At that point, I can save for Brandish and then Advanced Combo. The remaining points would go in Panic and Coma with the remaining in Booster or MP Recovery.

I'm fairly sure Soul Driver requires level 100 now. Unless you had Soul Driver prior to Big Bang, it shouldn't be available unless they completely removed the level 100 requirement skill and only have Advanced Combo, because my 8x Dawn Warrior has access to Brandish, and has maxed Soul Driver because he had it prior to Big Bang.
Let's say you have 5 Soul Charge and 5 Combo; that gives you a 1.219 multiplier. If you had only 10 Soul Charge, you'd have a 1.20 multiplier. If you had only 10 Combo, that'd give you a 1.12x multiplier.
If you raise that to 10 Soul Charge, 5 Combo, you get a 1.272 multiplier. If you had 5 Soul Charge 10 Combo instead, you'd have a 1.288 multiplier. You will have some levels in Combo where you get no damage bonus because only duration is increasing but overall, you get a higher one in the end. Maxed Combo with x Soul Charge is better than x Combo with maxed Soul Charge. The difference is very small though.

Soul charge is 100% elemental at all levels. So put a few points in it just for the utility of fighting holy weak mobs at 150% damage then finish out combo attack/brandish.

There's like no Holy Weak trainable mobs until 9x, unless NLC/WT areas have some. I don't know what they are if they do though. The damage boost of 4~6 points is much better spent before maxing Combo still though.

If Driver really is level 100 now, then the only thing that changes my build would be switching Brandish and Soul Charge's order.
Fiel Wrote:http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=30416 Is Blin not on that list because it lost any elemental weaknesses? I thought it was weak to Holy. At the very least, Samiho is weak to Holy. That and two mobs at Singapore are weak to Holy (Pac Pinky being one of them). I can manage until I get to 100 and Gallo to 120.

Thanks, but that list doesn't appear to have Masteria or WT monsters =[
Like I said, first trainable Holy Weak is Soul Teddy at 96, and then Master Soul Teddy/Bone Fish at 98. Hidden Street seems to have an updated list now. http://global.hidden-street.net/monster/...kness-list
Pac Pinky in MP2 seems to be the nearest thing, and Octobunnies have great HP:EXP. I doubt you'd need elemental advantage to kill these in a single Brandish though.
Blin are Holy Weak, but they suck and level 6x.

More or less, as long as I avoid holy-resist monsters (as few as there are), I should be fine for a while. At the very least, it's better that Driver is level 100 instead. It was a little too powerful for level 70 even though it's still fairly overpowered (1000% per mob).
