"Hot Time Event" SP Reset

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not the SP Reset?

Hot Time Event [12.11.2010]: Users who log in during this event will receive a scroll that can be used to reset all SPs on a character. The scroll is tradable to another character on the same account.

o In order to receive your SP reset you must not be in the MTS, Cash Shop, or be on a boat.

In KMS this was the second chance, not the only chance, and this only chance is hurt by the fact that you have to be logged on @ a specific time, and only 1 character per account can get it.

Yeah. But I think everyone's complaining about the fact that

1. It seems to be only 1 per account
2. We need to wait a few days for it
3. You need to log on a specific day for it

^ Basically about the fact we don't get a SP reset upon logging in on EVERY character.

On top of all of the other points, allow me to address why this is not adequate, even if you could manage to get it all day that day on every character you own;

There are players out there who aren't playing right now... players who have NO IDEA this is even happening. They may decide to come back some day, and when they do, they won't be able to do jack because their skills will be screwed up and unfixable without the SP reset. Those people have done nothing wrong, yet they'll suffer the most because of something they had no control over.

Even players who are playing... one chance? One chance a week for a couple weeks, even? Why should we have to arrange our schedules around a game to make sure we can play with what we've already earned and Nexon screwed up.

Someone really dropped the ball by removing the Skill Reset Potion that was given out in the other versions of big bang.
It slightly sickens me that they are so money hungry they actually think that if someone misses the SP reset 1 minute Hot Time event, they will spend $900 to reset their skills.

Is that a joke? No one is going to buy any sp resets if they miss the hot time. They will just quit.

I half expect Nexon to fix this within the next 24 hours and award everyone a potion.

Isn't this revamp supposed to attract new players? Honestly, this is a good reason and a chance to use for a person to quit if you miss out on it. Sickens me how fucked up they are. Bitches.

I really think they left it out to see if they would get away with it, I hope no one bought SP resets last night.

I can actually probably attend the Hot Time event, and have multiple computers, but the restructuring is coming and we'll have to deal with the bullcrap again, my Archmage is already pineappleed now, imagine it postRestructuring, or my Evan for that matter.

The Hot time event doesnt help those who have 15 different chars on 5-6 accounts...

My character got glitched and I can't relog. It's stuck in Hibiscus Road 1, 1 map of the right of kampung village. If this isn't resolved in 24 hours (ring 2) I'm quitting. Bossing is nerfed, thers not even a challenge anymore. Like come on, targa/scar do 1k damage, flat?. Don't monsters we train on do more?

The fact that you have to be logged in for 1 minute at a specific time is absolutely ridiculous. What the hell are they thinking... some of us have things to do, like FINALS and may be in class when this happens. Do they really expect everyone to make this event? I wouldn't be surprised if the servers crashed because of everyone logging in at once. Yet again Nexon fails... I swear they are the only company that try to pull this kind of #$@!

Wait, I thought this event was the entire day so anyone could log on and get the reset...you seriously have to be on at a specific time
regardless of the constant d/c and client crashes? O.o

Once in a while there are pretty exciting MapleStory events. One of them is the Hot Time event. It’s an event where you have to be logged on before 2:30 PM.
When one minute has passed, you will get a package which has a SP reset scroll (100% and a random item which can be a Timeless equipment or a cash item.

Although we may see some variations.

Can someone explain me how this event works?
Do you need to be log on in event time frame? (= leave maple on and you get scroll automaticly)
Do you need to talk with cassandra/accept light bulb in that time frame? (= need to be on and not afk)
Do you need to log on maple in that time frame and accept quest? (= deadly for servers and noone would be able to log on anyways)
Something else?

If soemone could tell me how it works i would really apreciate it. I only need for one char so it doesnt matter if i have to be logged on for whole day.

What he said, plus: is the sp reset a cash item I can transfer between servers or just a normal item that can be moved only via storage?
