Battle Mage or Mechanic?
#1
I'm stuck between deciding whether I should make a Battle Mage or a Mechanic.
Battle Mages look awesome. My two mains are an Aran and a Mage. Aran+Mage=BM Big Grin
mobility is decent, teleport in 1st job.
plus, auras look awesome! Big Grin

Mechanics look intense, though. Their mobility is great (that jet launch skill that takes you up), and dash, like arans Big Grin
They look kinda ugly though :/

They each have pros/cons.
I'm probably going to end up making one of each and testing them out and choose the one I like the most, but opinions/comments would be appreciated (:

Which one are you making, and why?

I could NOT stand BMs but I really enjoyed getting a Mech to 70. I didn't like how close-range BMs had to be.

I'm making a battlemage. Why? Because I just fell in love with the skills and stuff from the start. Super excited.

Battlemage because I'm a Magician Whore.

mechanic here because i love versatile classes, especially when they have massive HP. in this case the mech has both massive defense and decent HP, and i love the mobility. so yeah...

In KMS I made a mechanic and I got bored of it early 2nd job. I haven't gotten the change to make a Battle Mage since they were taken down for the restructuring patch, but if they are released before GMS BB, I'm gonna make a Battle Mage and see which one I like more.

But like strickm, the skills look phenomenal. Though I'm not sure Battle Magicians will be a good bossing class. A Mechanic could probably kick a Battle Magician's ass.

Gaah so undecided :/

Mechanics and WHs are top-tier DPS-wise, so if that's what you're looking for, go mechanic. Personally, I'll be making a BM because they look fun.

That's what I might do.
Make a Mechanic and keep that as my main, but make a "for fun" Battle Mage.

Why not a Wild Hunter?

The BM buff skills make a huge difference though. Being able to boost all damage by 20% is amazing and the defense one is just as ridiculous.

Mind you, mechs also have a 20% damage icnrease buff, even though it has a small range (it's a machine).

Still waiting for them make 2 Auras stackable, I see no reason to use anything other than Dark.

Auras can stack if you ahve more than 1 battle mage on the party.

Didn't know that, well still I want stackability for solo situations.

Battle Mage, cause every single person with a IWANNABETHEBESTIMUST ego will make a Mechanic.

Wanted for bosses: Yes.
Good damage dealer: Maybe not.

The thing that's pursuading me is spadow's video where he took our xerxes in like 30 seconds. Now I know xerxes is a lv 60-75 boss, but he used a mechanic skill and it was like hurricanex100. I haven't found that skill yet, so im not sure what it's called..

I will make both sooner or later. Such is the way of the class whore. -.-

I'll probably go BM first though. Leave the Mech for after the Mechfever goes down (hopefully it will).

So, list of -to do- classes:
CB-> WK - > BM -> WH -> Mech

I'd go for battlemages just cause melee is kinda my thing and everyone and their mother will be going to Wild Hunters cause of ZOMG JAGUARZ AND HURRICANES LOLOOLOLOL and Mechanics because they're so "OP".

Plus, I need gear without having to buy WGs and crap, so having a battlemage with gear from my bishop = BoF mule + level 70 ring Smile
