Question
#1
Im restarting my hero, by making a brand new one.
I have a few questions.

Should i wait until big bang is released before i start my hero? Explain.

If i do happen to start my hero before big bang is released, the new max HP skill, would i be able to gain the same amount of HP i would have gained post big bang? Explain.

Thank you.

I'd say just start it now. Any changes that will happen to your HP/MP and HP-related skills should be changed retroactively in BB.

There's a small difference in HP gains, assuming you put HP increase right away.
lv.11: 24 -> 64
lv. 12: 36 -> 64
lv. 13: 48 -> 64
lv. 14: 60 -> 64
After that hp gain is identical.

So the total difference is 88 hp higher for post-BB Warriors. Not really a big deal.

Late from me I guess, but other good reason to make a Hero early is so you can automatically drop some early job skills for other things because you won't ever use it again anyways. Skills like powerstrike and perhaps brandish that you won't ever use again because they'll be completely replaced. So, you'll have extra sp to max things like iron body and chance attack if you never thought about maxing them before.

I guess this is aimed more towards other jobs that have more useful things to throw their sp into like the way some people disregard nimble body (sort of buffed in post bb but it beats having a useless attack skill that you'll never use ever again at least) and magic armor.

This can be done, but I would consider Balrog and any other future skill-restricting bosses before doing that. In reality, the skills you would get in place of those would be Iron Body and MP Recovery, both of which are less useful that the rest. However, if no higher skill-restricting bosses are added, Brandish could completely be skipped. I myself won't be taking that chance, but you on the other hand may not want to fight Balrog or any boss of that sort. It's how you want to play your character.

Not to mention having a DrK with you on bossruns provide the same def buff and an additional m def buff for the party, iron will, that does not stack with iron body.

True, if there exists any new pqs that restrict skills to only certain skills then we should keep them. However, with the new restructuring patch kicking in soon, its pretty much telling people you can get another free sp reset again otherwise how are you going to add your sp into new skills like phantom blow for DBs, or combo recharge, combo judgment and so on for Arans? There isn't any that exists and they're still trying to change jobs so before we actually need those early job skills, we'll actually know about it. Other than balrog pq, thats the only time you would actually need those first job skills. In my case, I'll drop ground smash or slash blast to max powerstrike easily anyways, if I ever do need it for some reason because the range of those skills make them next to completely useless for me. Reason why I chose powerstrike in my post is because, without a doubt you won't use that skill ever again for training or bossing in the future besides balrog PQ.

Pros: You wont have to wait, being borred.
Cons: You will have aprox 80 HP less than a Warrior made after BB. You will level faster after BB.
