I will stick with Maple Karstan all the way to 200
#1
I just tried to hunt crimson woods and it didnt turn out well. 1 hour of hunting and I managed to get 3 crimson woods... that would mean that it would take me about 64 days, assuming I hunted 3-4 hours a day.

 Spoiler

Therefore Arclaive is not an option (especially cause I'm still lacking 20dex also), Machlear doesnt have slots and no one Dragon Rider PQConfused in Yellonde. Purple Surfboard doesn't exist in Yellonde (not that I've seen it in other servers).

However there seems to be 91att Normal speed Maple PA coming next anniversary, but that's nice 7 months away...

I guess I really have to stick with my Karstan (95/8 att, 1 slot).

Now my question is... What attack do I need for slow speed PA to beat my Karstan?

Get a Purple Surfboard -- problem solved.

But really, I would think around 110 attack, maybe 120?

if you're going for slow speed, get 3rd or last unwelcome polearm, and 2 cards of 2x drop would get you 200-300 trees o.o buy from others maybe?

I'd agree with Liteness. The Alien PQ polearm should be strong enough to make up for the speed. It's like what, 120+ attack clean? Slap some scrolls on it and it's 50% stronger for a 2 speed difference.

That and buy/make/recruit a Speed Infusion mule. You will always have at least normal speed.

Ew. I'd rather not rely on needing 2 computers in order to play the game.

Why not? Get a character with max Speed Infusion (level 120 Striker), set up an old ass computer you don't need, set it in your map in a safe spot, go to it when you need it, press a single button, ???, profit.

It's easy and efficient and non-stressful.

I don't wanna have to get up every 3 minutes for a buff. I definitely see what you mean, but still it feels odd. Maybe if I can find a way to make a drinking bird click for me so I only have to get up when the anti-bot feature kicks in.

*I hear wacky stories from one my guildies about how they gotta run up a flight of stairs to use a buff bot (unsure which one. I'm sure it's a very long lasting one). It's just plain lol.

Ok. Crimsonwood weapons. Kind of a special subject for me. I built my Arcannon from scratch back before they were available from gach. Had the wood all ready to go the day Taos came out in the gach box event. It was, admittedly, a painful process. However, your experience with the wood drop rate is actually EXTREMELY low, a case of extraordinary bad luck. Back when Lower Ascent was empty, I would average about 5 Crimson Wood per 30 minutes, which was roughly the amount of time it took me to clear every channel. Another 15 minutes after that the spawn on the first channel I had visited would be (mostly) reset and I was able to start over, meaning 5 per 45 minutes or about 6-7 / hr on average. Bear in mind, Nexon has increased the drop rate since I made my staff; so whereas I haven't checked to see what it's like now, you should at the very least be seeing better than 7 wood / hr, baring any significant differences between Lower Ascent and Path of Strength.

The funny thing, too, is that over the month and a half or so it took me to gather the wood I met quite a few regulars and even made a couple friends. Between making the Staff and getting, say, my level 90 lord pirate hat, or any of the other more tedious things I've done in this awful game, the staff was by far the most worthwhile.

In short, don't give up based on your one experience. Give it another go or two before you make up your decision. Making these weapons is a pain, but in spite of the tedium having that brand new Arcannon in hand was easily the single most satisfying moment I've had in Maple.

Now, that IS ridiculous.

The way my old computer was set up was where two computers were hooked up to a single monitor and my dad had it so you press a super easy to do hotkey shortcut (I think it was 00123 on the number pad) and the monitor would quickly switch to the other screen. I never did get to take advantage of that, but I would love to have something like that now. xD Now, I have to rely on a laptop that has a failing display driver. T___T
