A few patches after big bang, skills are changed again.
#1
I just thought i would come and share this information with the people of southperry. At basilmarket forums, according to Etherealize, the new KMST has introduced numerous balance changes. Below you can see the list of changes listed by a user from basilmarket who took the time to translate the information from KMS forums.

Etherealize (credits go to her)

EDIT: To those interested in the source, i can't confirm because i don't speak Korean, but it's supposedly on this page http://www.insoya.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=bbs12&no=354. I took a look, seems reliable :-) (visually)

Ready or not, here it comes:

Quote:In KMST (KMS Tespia), Mechanics have been properly Nexon'd (along with other jobs that got boosts, BUT they got the brunt of nexon's wrath!), with a decrease in damage in most of their skills. ABOUT TIME CHYUHHHHH. 8D

Well. The changes so far are:

Metal Armour Prototype defence lowered by 200
Drill Rush attacking 15 instead of 10, with 30% dmg decrease
Atomic Hammer ignoring defence lowered by 10%
Rocket Booster dmg decrease of 200%
Perfect Armour guard % decreased by 10%
Satellite damage 50% increase
Magnetic field casting time increased by 30 seconds; 50% damage reduction; cool down of 180 seconds (lasts for 60sec/cd of 180sec now)
Accelerator ignoring defence lowered by 15%
Healing robot casting time lowered by 10 seconds; HP recovery increased by 25%
Rocket punch damage reduction of 30%
Metal Armour extreme 10 attack decrease
Metal Armour missile tank MP usage formula changed (25 MP every 5 seconds; 30 MP if attacking); 10% damage reduction; 10% crit rate reduction
Robo factory casting time reduced by 5 seconds; 20 seconds cool down inserted
Laser Blast damage lowered by 40%
Heavy machine gun damage lowered by 5%.

Other classes got boosts too, but more noticeably, Aran, Evan and DB got boosts, as well as other changes like the change in TT formula for NW/NL and new effects for Arrow Rain/Eruption for Ranger/Snipers. Extractions will probably come up and Spadow will have the proper info on this, but I am ./overjoyed by how Mechanics have gotten so deliciously Nexon'd. No moar op'd jobs?

big lol @ dual bladers losing their critic from thorn. Now 99% of dbs gonna Hothead on nexon.
And nice change to assasinate 4 hits instead of 3 sadly with dmg cap its only 2 mil dmg more
(wish i had my shad back for this heh)

Whops didnt see the sharpness or w/e its called , but still i guess weaker version of thorns for dbs. Ppl wont be happy anyway lol
wondering about new formula for dbs now ;s if its + or - for them.

@down
well i do have a 13x db with maxed thorns and honestly didnt bother looking on thorns after bb cause i dont really play it anymore but for me it looks weaker, if im wrong then sorry

happy now?
#3
you rly dont know after big bang Thorn give crit rate and min crit dmg? so this is very good for us. U cant call Sharpness is weaker version of Thorn since after big bang crit system change and Thorn changed too >.<, learn to play DBs b4 u can talk about DB.
Anyway, this is nice patch, I rly love this Tongue

SP reset sale, anyone?

Why couldn't they get their balancing done before inflicting Big Bang on JMS and GMS?

I read in the extraction thread release notes that formulas got changed as well. Lovely. So do I reset my DEX to STR or not?

Gah, this just strengthens my resolve to quit Maple when BB hits GMS. I do *not* like games where you can't do any long-range planning because the carpet can be pulled out from under you at any given time. This is especially true when said long-range planning involves spending real-world money or considerable time (or both).

if you read what's in the quote, you will see that she mentions accuracy:

"• Formulas for defence, avoid and accuracy were changed"

Maybe dex will play a bigger role in the end after all? We can't really tell due to the lack of information. We will see how it goes

The other nice thing about Sharpness is that the mastery level is only 10, so by level 123, we could potentially have it maxed. Final cut has also bee,n altered in a nice way. 15% kill rate instant and 140% increase in damage over 40 seconds means we basically have a +140% increase 2/3 of the time. So essentially a 93% increase in damage if you have it maxed.
#7
I still wonder do they still keep this with Final Cut: Passive Effects - Permanently increases damage for Fatal Blow, Slash Storm, Tornado Spin, Bloody Storm, Upper Stab, and Flying Assaulter by 25%. Cant wait for extractions, awwwwwwwwwwww!

With fatal blow being:
Quote:fatal blow:
master level: 30; 85% x 8

I highly doubt that the increase by 25% is unchanged because:
Quote:phantom blow:
master level: 30; 110% x 6
That would make Fatal blow better than phantom blow, unless phantom blow is incredibly fast and/or has special effects, or is also increased by Final Cut.

Did any one realize that now DB got only 4th job instead of the old version with semi-dualer.

It is following the original thief job advancement.

maybe because madam sly has realize that it is black magician fault. She and darklord make up and get married. LOL

No, this didn't change. They still have 1st, 2nd, 2nd+ 3rd, 3rd+ and 4th.
#11
lol, if Lady Syl and Dark Lord get marry, that will be nice, and DBs should have some new skill like NL, how to Mirror Image + Shadow Partnerr? Triple Stab? xD

This has already been in the extraction section for over an hour, doesn't require more threads to discuss and repeat.

It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
