Hi guys welcome to the create your own PQ thread! Simple just name a PQ you would like to see and design it yourself. If you make a picture of any bosses you make for your PQ then yay for you!
The Rules
There really aren't any rules but I guess more of guidlines for creating the PQ. So here they are:
-Name:Most important
-Time Limit:Always gotta have that time limit
-Area:Can be a new area you invent or an existing one.
-Level range:Always, try to be practical
-Boss:Most PQS have a boss, does yours?
-Stages:How many? What kind?Details
-Type:What type of Pq is this? Survival? Competitive? Cooperative? Event etc
-Monsters:can be made up of course, don't have to have existing ones.
EXPon't go overboard
Have fun with this everyone! I'll post mine in a little bit. Lets see how creative we are

Can we just have a 120+ pq that's similar to CPQ? CPQ was one of the most fun PQs i;ve ever played in maple and i would like to play it on a high level character. Just imagine Leafre/neo-city monsters being summoned en-masse and having some sort of nerf'd miniboss as the "rombot" of the PQ.
And then the PQ should give a shoulder/belt/nose/face equip that can only be chaos marbled with coins. it's ingenious!
Name: Maple Duel Time Limit: 30mins if other player doesn't die before Area: Duel Field (accessible through Dimensional Mirror) Level range: easy: 30-70 normal: 70-120 hard: 120-150 master: 150-200 Boss: another player Stages: Players will be split in: PvP fight(range/fast) and PvP fight (close-range). PvP fight details:
- Split in close-range(Aran,Warrior, Bandit, Brawler) and ranged/fast(Magician,Evan,DB,Bowman,Sin).
- Players damage is 95% lower and players have 400% of their normal hp.
- Certain Skills cannot be used.
- Pots cannot be used.
- You can only fight same person 5 times / day (this is to prevent abuse of the system, like free wins) Type: Competitive Monsters:- EXP:
Easy: Win: 40,000exp Lose: -10% exp
Normal: Win: 150,000exp Lose: -10% exp
Hard: Win: 1,000,000exp Lose: -10% exp
Master: Win: 10,000,000 exp Lose: -10% exp
Guys, if you see some flaws, let me know I'm certainly not sure if bandit/brawler should be in ranged. They certainly arent ranged/that fast until 4th job, imo.

The game is so unbalanced that that would always be very hard to pull off, take a strong buccaneer for example, even doing 100k/ demo hit, he'd do 40k damage, that's very possible with all the equips that exist these days.
Take an NL, this guys can do the same damage twice as fast, it'd take no time for people to die...
I've always wanted there to be a MS PvP something, but I've noticed that it's nearly impossible.
I think the closest we would ever get to a pvp will be some kind of ghostship pq but 1vs1 and with different stages, something like who kills first all the mobs in 5~10 stages that would balance out the weakness of each class and give more attention to the skills the player has.
Name: El Nath Mts PQ
Time Limit: 1 hour
Area: Some where between El Nath town and the dead mines.
Level Range: 120 +
Number of ppl needed: 6
Type: Survival/Puzzle
Description: Well you know how there are zombies in the El Nath mts? Well its kinda like a zombie invasion pq. Basically you go to a map(as I said above some where between el nath town and the dead mines) that is an abandoned
little village and there is a explorer/researcher there and he tells you about an outbreak of zombies that used to be the towns ppl. The goal of the PQ is to progress thought the village to find the source and either contain it or destroy it. However theirs a catch, if you do not progress through the stages fast enough a wave of zombies will spawn at the door you entered the room from. After you defeat the zombies you have time to solve the puzzle and move on before another wave spawns.
Stages: 1: Open boxes to find the key to the door house you need to get into. 2: Clear the house of zombies and leave through the back door. 3: Sneak past the zombies by hiding behind bushes, crates, and rocks. 4: Meet up with the researcher and gather parts for defense turrets that were stolen by the zombies. 5: After learning from the researcher that the zombies have gotten smarter place the completed turrets in certain spots(The spots are random each time and hints to there location are given by the researcher). 6: Enter the final house and fight the first zombie. 7: RUN!!! You get chased by zombies across a big map(they are pissed that you killed there leader) reach the safe house which is guarded by turrets and land mines.
Conclusion: So in the end it turns out that the village is the original el nath(The one that built the zak statue and was then cursed by zak) and the curse that zakum placed on the village turned them into zombies.
Bonus PQ: Left for Maple(lol)
Level limit: 20+
Area: The same one as above.
Description: This one is kinda like CPQ. You have two parties each needs to have the same number of people and the minimum per pt is 3. One pt is the survivors, and one is turned into zombies. The zombies lose there weapons and att by clawing and what not. The survivors also have there weaps taken away but they get swords of daggers to defend themselves with. The PQ is made up of either one HUGE room or a bunch of small rooms that make up a kinda maze. At the start the survivors are given 30 secs to 1 min to hide, then the zombie pt is released. The zombies respawn when killed but the survivors don' get revived. For the survivors to win they need to survive for 5 mins. For the zombies to win they need to kill all the survivors.

Stage 1- A hoard of hand puppets have found their way to the work shop, you must destroy them before you can progress.
Stage 2-A poor puppet is missing it's strings! Find the strings from the hand puppets and report back to the "dead" puppet. The puppets can see where the strings are, but the masters cannot. After completion the leader must talk to the puppet to receive exp and access to the next stage.(30-50 range recieves 2k exp)(50-70 gets 5k)(71-110 get 15k) (120-150 get 40k)(151-200 get 100k)
Stage 3- The puppet in the stage before tells you that if you can lead him to safety he'll free the puppets. One person must carry the puppet and if they are hit by a monster or fall then they lose the puppet. Speed will be reduced to slow speed while carrying. The masters must solve puzzles and lea the other two puppets to destroy the monsters. At the end now all 6 members of the party are in play, achieve same exp as above.

Name: Investigate the heavens
Time Limit: 1 hour
Area:Orbis Tower
Boss:I dunno but something awesome
Level Range: 120-200
Stages: Something appears to be wrong with the stars above Orbis, Minerva the goddess, freed following the events of OPQ has been looking for warriors to investigate: however, it is not possible for normal beings to walk among the heavens. She will bless everyone in the expedition with the power of a crystal allowing them to survive though! The crystal does have a limitiation: Its power will weaken as the members take damage: Giving everyone a pooled HP bar based on the number of members in the party (perhaps 500k hp per member: max of 20). If the crystal's power runs out completely Minerva will warp the party back to save them from death, resulting in a failed PQ.
This pooled HP bar can not be recovered by using potions, and only Bishops can slightly recover a portion of lost power by using heal: But the heal attempt must actually heal party member hp (no crystal recovery if used on players with full HP) and only 20% of what party members actually recover will be added to the crystal's hp. If a member dies, they may respawn at the start of the PQ area and return to the current stage: however the crystal will take damage equal to 2x of the characters' total AP (counting equips) meaning that a stronger party member dying is a higher penalty than a weaker one dying.
Overall, this pooled hp will force players to think defensively as well as offensively, and characters with good defense will help preserve the party's hp and be better choices for tanking.
Stage 1: Constellation restoration
A classic JPQ scenario: as the party travels a clear, reflective pathway through the heavens, there are 4 different jump quest areas at the end of which is a star that's been misplaced. and in the center a special platform to place the stars, that will turn them into shooting stars that place them in their correct places again to fix broken constellations. the JPQ is full of damaging traps dealing a minimum of 1k damage: Will you choose to let only 4 pros run to limit the damage to your crystal? or Send everyone for the sake of preserving the time limit? Choice is yours.
Stage 2: Fury of the Zodiac
6 rooms here, each with 2 monsters representing the Zodiac transformed into vicious monsters await. They all have moderately high amounts of HP (40m hp each on average) and most have access to hp/mp to 1 attacks at close range, which can deal heavy damage to the crystal if not avoided. Others have access to Damage Reflect, dealing about 6k-8k damage when struck. The remainder may be able to zombify. Choose carefully how to conquer these rooms: you can do them in any order and split up the party at will.
Stage 3: The Threat looming in the heavens.
The Main PQ boss awaits. A giant celestial being calls your party to a fight with various parts to attack HT/Zakum Style; Watch this boss' movements carefully: Damage Reflect and attacks that threaten to hit the whole party at once unless avoided can drain the crystal's strength quickly. If you're high on time, focus on fighting defensively, but seeing as he'll have roughly 200m hp feel free to take risks with heavier hits to DPS faster. Once defeated, the chaos within the stars will cease.
Type: Co-op i suppose.
Exp: Not sure about post BB exp gains yet, but preferably worth it.
Oh, since Potential system is insane lets add a chaos mode too eventually (adds a 0 to every boss's hp for it)
Name: Kraken PQ
Time Limit: 2 hours 30 minutes.
Area: I'll give you 2 guesses.
Boss: Kraken
Level Range: 120-200, 5 people, one of each job.
Stage 1: The map is full of Squids and Risell Squids. You must kill everything and collect the map pieces. After you do, a Scuba Diver will appear and take the map. He has been captured by the Kraken, but he managed to escape.
Stage 2: There are 5 portals, one for each job. In each room, there's a Goby House with 10m HP (it's a boss). It has a lot more range than out of the PQ, and still uses Cancel Weapon Attack. Once it explodes, 12 Gobies are summoned, with 5m HP each, and are bosses. Each one drops a key, and once all the Gobies are dead, and keys collected, you must go to the portal on the right. Once there, you will meet up with your party members. Give all your keys to the leader, and he will drop on a door, opening it. After that, talk to the Scuba Diver, and he tells you to enter.
Stage 3: Now it's an escort mission. You must protect the Scuba Diver from Sharks, Bone Fish, Cold Sharks, and a new monster called Anglerfish. Anglerfish can chomp at you, and absorb all light around you, making it dark (like Ravana, Rex, or Magatia PQ stage 2.) Once the Diver is at the end, you enter the portal.
Stage 4: Boss time. You will be in a castle, and the Kraken is asleep. You must hit the Chandelier at the top of the map, and then it falls down, waking up the Kraken. The Kraken has 100m HP. He can pound the ground with its tentacle, whip you with its tentacle, Seduce (makes you jump left), and summon Squids and Risell Squids. Once it dies, it drops its shell. You must give this to the Scuba Diver, only to find out the Diver has betrayed you and wants to make money off the shell. This is where Stage 5 happens.
Stage 5: The Scuba Diver is flying to shore! You must make sure he doesn't get away with the shell. First, he swims through a cave. You must hit the rocks above him, and make them fall on top of the Diver to damage him. When his HP hits 0, he will disappear. Then you must go through the right portal.
Stage 6: The Scuba Diver is back. He's flying around. You must attack him to make sure he doesn't escape with the shell. He has 20m HP, and once his HP reaches 0, he will drop the shell and fall to the bottom of the sea. You must loot it within 10 seconds or he will fly up and take it back. If that happens, you must fight him again. If you get it, you must fly to the top of the sea with the diver pursuing you. Once you make it to the top, you will end up on shore, where you are free. The diver will fall back into the sea. The Kraken will appear from under the sea, and you must give the shell back to it. The Kraken explains that the diver was after his shell all the time, and thanks you for getting rid of the diver.
Bonus Stage: You will end up at a special underwater place filled with clams. You hit the clams like boxes, and they drop skillbooks, scrolls, potions, etc.
