How do i jump cast skills easier?

Practice makes perfect? On all different types of characters I would just have to try over and over again until I found the flow of the character to be able to jump cast one of their skills. If you can't do it then it might be a case of that skill not being able to jump and cast at the same time.

I'm pretty sure such a skill does not exist. At least not anything in the buccaneer skill book anyway. o.o Only skill i can think of is combat step...

Try switching keyboards, or try switching the designated hotkeys that you are trying to jump cast with. Some keyboards prohibit the combination of certain simultaneous key presses for some reason.

Switching keyboards is a tad impossible on a laptop. I already switched DS from space to right ctrl. The only combination that's prohibited on this laptop is if you try and press 4+ keys at once, which only happens when i am charging CSB.

Put jump and skill on 2 keys that you're quite familiar with. Mine is F (jump) D (triple throw).

Also, most keyboards can take in 3 key press at a time. Exception to these include, alt, ctrl and shift as if I remember right, they're on a different set of interupts, thus wont collide with your normal key presses. IMO, this helps chars that does not have inate jump cast ability more.

Yeah, inputs for keyboards are limited by the type of keyboard youre using. USB cant do more than 3? and Ps2 cant do more than 4 I think.

Take a look at bowmen keyboard configurations and figure out which one sorts your fittings best. Since most bowmen learn to jumpcast. Simply replace the Strafe key with Dragon Strike. Don't know, worth a shot.

I was looking more for a technical tweak i could do to make it easier, kind of like how using a joypad for some makes it easier to jump cast.

Don't know if I'm taking it the wrong way, but there's no way to fix keyboard sensitivity. You could try cleaning your keyboard, have you tried that?

Yeah you're taking it the wrong way. I know how to jump cast, i can jump cast somewhat easily, and my computer is fine. I just want to be able to do it 99.99% without having to just practice it.

It really just takes practice. I used to not be able to do it at all and I was stumped at how fluidly people could do it. Now, it's like water to me. I can jump cast at any time with any skill if I wanted. It really just takes a lot of patience and practice.

notedly, while trying to jump cast the beginning of rapid fire... well... it's much harder for some reason if i'm standing still... Somehow magically, if I'm walking, jump casting becomes miraculously easier.

I concur. It seems easier to jump cast if you're walking.

Kind of irrelevant since there's no point in jump casting if you aren't moving...

You could try using macro keyboards. Or set up macros using some software.

Just use a gamepad for Maple... it also guards you from RSI to your hands!

With key emulation programs you can macro multiple keys to one gamepad button.

Maple is also much more enjoyable when you play it with a gamepad, it feels more like a real arcade game! Smile

Don't those have a chance of banning?

Xpadder, map jump and your skill side by side to a button, no delay in between, should work like 90% of the time. Set autofire to max if you desire. For manual jumpcast, I would try putting jump on a trigger key (L1 for me) and your skills on the action pad on the right.

Better idea. How do i get a key (on my keyboard) to do two key commands at the exact same time?
