No idea if I'm late on this or not. But I must say...I don't know WHAT to say :f6:

Well, there goes atlantica.

We all saw it coming though.

From what I can tell watching 2 youtube videos on it, Nexon couldn't possibly make it any worse.

Nexon's had control over atlantica from behind the scenes for a good while now, from what I could tell. As soon as word got out that it got bought out by them, there had been SEVERE nerfs made to the game in almost every aspect of it. Drop rates, exp rates, quest resets being limited, etc.... I just stopped playing Atlantica because of it. Guess they're done with the shady bizz now and are being open about it.

that's a shame, atlantica was a very fun game , also very nostalgic ( <3 Final Fantasy , Chrono , etc )

I think word that Nexon aquired Atlantica Online got out several months ago, but it was mostly heard in gaming biz sites. I lol'd when I heard the news myself.

I liked the game back when it was in beta, but due to being involved with a lot of other games, I sadly stopped playing. I loved its gameplay.

I know what's coming next... Wonderking brought to you by Nexon America.

edit: Which would be a good thing at this point.. since NDoors has no idea how to make that game flourish.

I doubt Nexon would do much with WonderKing - it's a direct competitor to Maplestory. They'd likely buy it out to shut it down.

No content in 10 months since its' north american OBT release aside from cash stuff and random events. 2 versions of it has shut down in that time (Japan's version and somewhere else) and the korean version's site hasn't had a true update in like 2 years until 'version 2' suddenly released. Which is basically north america's version ported to the korean version.

It ain't lookin too good for them. But there are teasers about a boss dungeon being added soon, but feels like a case of 'too little, too late' in my book.

I think Big Bang in gMS is all that's needed to finish it off.

Yeah NDoors has all but screwed the pooch on this one. I made a thread asking what people thought about them getting Atlantica over in the WK forum and it was
gone within an hour. I have been getting the feeling that either WK is about to get shut down from poor performance, or moved over to Nexon's dockets real soon.

Nexon would hardly be the first in the business to run more than one type of game for a genre, it's becoming more and more common.

Also I wouldn't even call WK a direct competitor since they lie somewhere in between being like dungeon fighter and maplestory.

I looked on Youtube to check out a video, but I just don't see anything worthwhile about this new incoming game. It just feels...... blah. I'll stick to turn based games on consoles, thank you very much.

Anyone else feel that Atlantica online isn't so Nexon-ish?
Doesn't seem like it fits for me (IMO)

It's not really Nexon-ish. Tongue With the battle mechanics in particular, it's not something you'd expect from Nexon.

Hide your wife, Hide your kids. Nexon is taking over the MMO world Sad

Read about this before from the Nexon news thing... Expected though, knowing that they own ndoors partially now and they have became rich cause of mapler fools and their cube/exp hair/gachapon runs.
