I would have to say Tangela would be the most useless for me...

Seriously, low base att, low base hp, low base defence, weak against almost everything, didn't evolve (Not in earlier gens it didn't)

It's only attacks were bind, and status effects, you'd had to waste a TM on this thing to make it anywhere usefull to.

Even caterpie and magicarp were more usefull.

The most useless and still is would be Farfetched. Magikarp and the cacoon pokemon actually have some merit; namely evolving. Luvdisc i find 2nd most useless. Nothing unique to the thing.

Which is a vastly superior move to Harden or any of the spores that Butterfree gets at Lv14.

But seriously, any pokemon I catch in the very beginning of the game is just for pokedex entries. I never use them for anything.
