Ninja Castle = Neo Tokyo?

[COLOR="orange"]Well, we all know that ninja castle has items that are required in the Neo Tokyo Quest line... Seeing how global maple story will soon have Ninja Castle, does this raise the question that we will have Neo tokyo?
Possibly they will remove Neo City, or keep both?

No. Kaede castle is not required in the storyline at all. It's just one simple quest. Common misunderstanding. How can you have to areas almost identical to each other in names and appearance? How could that make sense? As so far in every version, it's been either or. Neo Tokyo or Neo City. Taipei 101 or Kerning Square. Gold Temple or Golden Temple (event).

Neo City is in their data. Not released. It's (probably) untranslated, too. Seems they couldn't decide. Common misconception.

It's still possible to get Neo Tokyo one day. MSEA has been close to getting Neo City for a while now and they have Neo Tokyo.

Yes, but someone can easily edit that to collect other zipangu items instead of from there. It's a minor detail.


Guys, we live in the age of editing. KMS does it, JMS has done it. Anything can be edited to get the other. We can technically get everything. But, you need to ask the question to yourself: what is better, getting an area, or see it being horribly mutilated? If Neo Tokyo has to be changed, it isn't worth getting it. Such an awesome area in gameplay and the best storyline we'll see for a long time in Maplestory being mutilated because of Neo City? I'd rather not get it if that has to happen.

Erich, that's assuming it will be mutilated. Which it probably won't be if we're getting MapleSEA's version of Ninja Castle. Wait a day to see if we get a Ninja Castle with nerfed drops. I bet we don't. Also, if the monsters drop those items for Neo Tokyo, I think it will be a possible indication as well. Nothing needs mutilated if we have both Neo City and Neo Tokyo, since quests are not even close to being the same. Nothing is for sure. I haven't seen the extractions yet anyways. -3-

We won't be getting SEA's area. We'll be getting CMS' version as we have everything else. The thing that stands as mutlilation is the physical area, not the gameplay. The appearance, the story. That is what prevents us from getting an area or not getting it. Forget nerfs. The appearance and story, and just pure logic, that determines what we get and we don't get. There are no special items for neo tokyo. They're normal etc drops. Nerf or not nerf, they'll drop them. You are right. Nothing is for sure. The reason I say what I say and try to show people what they don't want to hear is because optomism runs this forum. All I see is it in these speculations. It's all based on fancy. And fancy isn't reality. So I show people what they don't want to see; something closer to reality. That's my motivation to say what I say.

My final question is this: If you owned a game, and produced it, would you make an area (Neo Tokyo), scramble up the story and area a little, and release it, with the fact that they're both the same at the root? What would that tell about your company? What would that encourage people to think about your game?

There's more proof then you have for SEA's version. The best way to make a guess at what will happen in the future is the past. It's a fact proven in history and behavoirs of people for as long as time has existed. We have gotten what CMS' Zipangu as so far. There's a greater chance of getting the CMS Kaede then SEA Kaede.

Patterns make up this world. They aren't always true, but it gives us a better shot at predicting something. Which gives it a greater chance of it happening. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but from the information we know currently, it's the most logical case.

It can't be one, either. This isn't a "natural" thing. This is human nature.Post Hoc Fallacy isn't best applied with humans. And Post Hoc Fallacy doesn't mean everything is that way. Look at it like this: stopping the Nazis would have prevented the Holocaust that occurred in their hands.


On top of that, Post Hoc Fallacy would eliminates predictions completely. Meaning all this speculation is just luck of the draw guessing. Which isn't the case.
