This drawing took up half of my week.

... I still can't do backgrounds. I should work on practicing that after I learn to shade right. D: I also referenced the pose slightly but I can't find the image... either way, this took about 21 hours to do.

I dunno if it's just me, but the lack of shoulder spannage kinda makes them look like stick figures.

I don't see the correlation to stick figures, so I think it's just you.

All the stick figures I've seen don't have shoulders. Unless they're wearing pauldrons. In which case they have imaginary shoulders.
