Battlemage Weapon

Just simple question that I guess I didn't pay too much attention to.

Is it true battlemages can only use staves? Did BB change this at all, or did anything ever change it? Seems silly imo to limit the class to staves and not wands included if it's true.

If you look at it, a battlemage using a teeny tiny wand looks ridiculous. There was a reason why it was staves; they're longer.

Battlemage is meant to be like an Aran in that it's made to be able to only use one specific type of weapon. Changing it so that Battlemages could use wands and they might as well change it so that Arans can use spears.

They're not going to change it.

Battlemages do not have magic mastery- they have staff mastery and staff booster. The idea of Battlemages is they beat up monsters using a staff. Besides, what does it matter if they can't use wands anyways? By end game staves always have more MA because they're two levels higher.

A) even with up to 120 base luk, an average 163 stave will be stronger than an average 130 wand.

B) Aren't most battlemage attacks dark element? Which I just realized now doesn't mean anything, since elemental weapons don't give dark element attacks 75% damage.
