+ sign on active users?

I'm just wondering, where it lists the current active users, what the plus sign signifies.

Ex. just now it was:

Dusk's name (sorry to draw attention to you... I've seen it a couple times before on other people, it just occurred to me now to ask) has a + sign on it. What does it mean?

It means they are on your BL.

It means friends. It also appears on the list of last ten visitor's to your profile.
