Does Adventurer ring instakill work vs aliens?

I noticed that aliens take a set amount of damage per hit, so I was wondering if the instant-kill affect on the adventurer rings works on them.

Snipe works on them, and while it doesn't work the same way as snipe does, I think it'll autokill them too. Does it really matter though? The chance for it to work is 1% and they usually die in 1-2 hits anyway. Unless you're talking about the aliens in the future, which you can't kill with snipe.

I was simply curious, that's all.

Have you tried it wearing "NO" bing/visitor equips? When wearing none of those snipe shows up as a miss, but still kills, whereas when wearing a piece of the suit, it is forced into the set number that the rest of my attacks do, while still OKOing. Unlikely as it may be there could be a difference there.

Just tried that, got about 50 aliens and attacked them for 2 minutes. Nothing.
