This is probably more to do with the influx of games they have coming out in addition to what they already have, I doubt it'll affect any one game too much.
Also try tinyurl.com next time, its a good workaround for urls that get censored.

Wow, they actually reinvest some of their profit into running their games better?
mind is blown.

I hope this affects the game pretty soon. My friend has Vista64 and can't play the game despite trying every fix we could find. Thanks Nexon!

I don't know about you guys, but I don't lag on Maplestory. Your fault your connection sucks, not Nexon's.

I DC more because of the absurd amount of pomegranatety glitches in the game than because of server lag. Although this will be nice during 2x events.

A few months ago I had little to no lag running MS. Over the last few months random D/Cs, lag spikes, and various other connection problems have become more and more frequent. I hope this changes things. :l

I wouldn't call it "Lag" persay, but 15-second frame freeze is where I'd put it. @Roxas, if people with T1+ connections get lag issues on Maple, there's something definitely up with the servers. The only time I get "Lag" is usually during long hour x2 events in which the server starts to feel the strain.

I stopped reading when they talked about nexon's "high quality gaming experience"

I hope this changes things. :l This. There's been a pretty sharp difference in performance of the game overall for a vast number of people; myself included; over the last few patches. This will allow GM events full of people to not have as much of an effect (the only time I've dced of a lag-based cause), but it won't fix the bugs and glitches it has with the newer operating systems. However, it is a good trend. I hope that they apply the OS compatibility updates soon, seeing as they are mostly already pre-made minus version specific tweaks. As of this evening the "lag" for me is far worse than what I've experienced ever before outside a poor wireless connection (6 second screen freeze, all within the new areas). Not sure what their doing different, but I can only hope that it gets better with this. I've been booted from the opportunity to use the FM with these issues for the past month, but this is becoming outright unplayable. |
