Pam's Song

Im wondering about this item.

Do you have to have it in your inventory, while scrolling, to have it work? (Basically can you not use them after the fact, like clean slates?)

Also how much do they cost, roughly?

Not sure about your other questions, but it was about 24xxx A-Cash in MSEA.

I see, pretty pricy, though that was to be expected I guess if they didnt want to devalue white scrolls.

My bad then, thought I remembered someone from MSEA saying it was something like 24,600 A-Cash.

their cashshop items are in general more expensive than ours.

i believe SoK (or hammer, i forget which) is 12k ACash, which is about $8.80 USD for a single one.

In JMS, it's 1k NP (10k NX).
That's as expensive as 2 1/4 hairstyle coupons in JMS.

Does it recover a failed slot or does it work like a White Scroll?

Recovers the slot if your scroll fails. Works somewhat like a White Scroll, but it only activates if the scroll fails, so it's technically better.

Ok, this is just for clarification. Say I finished scrolling an item and it failed a slot. Once I use Pam's Song, I can recover that failed slot right?

It's 100% Slate scroll thats all Pam's Song is. So if it fails and you use it bam you got that slot back.

Are you sure?, I'm not sure how it works but that sounds too good, just get the scrolls you failed on your weapons back and make from your current weapon a perfect one.
To me it looks like a white-clean slate mix, I think this is how it works:
Buy Pam's Song, keep it in inventory
Scroll passes -> nothing
Scroll fails-> pop up asks you if you want to use Pam's song
------------>Use it, get back slot
------------>Don't use it, lost slot, no other chance with pam's song until you fail another scroll.

What you're saying sounds like "Ok so I passed 5 scrolls on my weapon before the patch, and failed 4 (2 hammers), now I buy 4 Pam songs and get to scroll those 4 slots again, if I fail any, buy more songs"

I think it only activates if you have it and the scroll fails.

IE: You cant scroll a weapon now, fail a slot, then wait for this to come out and get that slot back.

At least thats how I interpret it, and clarifications?

Nevertheless, this is very broken. Now perfectly scrolled items will slowly become a standard to be "godly". Also, this means that 50% scrolled items should drop in price, and 10% scrolls should increase in price..

Well, if its really 20-25$ like it appears it may be, then scrolling a perfect item will be about the same price as buying a great item off MTS, I dont see this changing all that much.

It would be far too expensive to do that with 10% scrolls.
Even if it winds up being close to 15k nx -- that's an average of 150k per slot
Possibly worth it after landing a bunch of 30s on something -- but I think the real winner here will be the hoards of 50% wattk scrolls that are floating around.

More shell out some money and get awesome stuff that has been floating around.

We can't really know how broken this is until we find the price. Obviously if its 5k nx then its going to be megabroken but if its like 25k then not many people will be able to afford 200k nx at least for a perfect weapon.

Even if it's say 15k nx per, there's not much difference from using large quantities of mesos to buy whites in FM. The only different is there's an unlimited supply of these.

TBH I don't see it changing things too much. If it works like a 100% clean slate, or it works like a WS except it doesn't get used if you pass it, then it'll be nice to have. But really this just gives people who were looking for whites a chance to acquire them, and that population is extremely low compared to the average player.
