I think I may have found when Big Bang is being Released (Statistically)
#1
So I went back through a lot of the big patches and compared them side by side with kms getting those same patches, in example:

(KMS got Aran on July 9th 2009, GMS got Aran December 9th 2009) July ~ December (4 months)

(KMS got Evan in November 2009, GMS got Evan in March 2010.) November ~ March (4months)

(KMS got Dual Blade February 25th 2010, GMS got Dual Blade July 21st 2010) February ~ July (5 months)

4 + 4 + 5 = (13) / 3 = 4.33-

Ok so, based on statistics ALONE! We can infer that *GMS receives major updates around 4 - 5 months after KMS. With an overall mean of 4.33 months*

We also need to take into consideration that, *Nexon only does major patches during summer and winter vacation the reason being kids our out from school, adults get some time off*

Now we can almost surely consider us not getting this major patch during summer, reason being *We got Dual Blade during our BIG summer patch leaving the winter months open for a big patch*

Ok, Big bang came in 3 parts for KMS:

*Part 1 - Map changes, new UI (user interface), many many new formulas including, but not limited to (EXP, ACC, Skill, Avoid, DMG), Damage cap was increased from 199,999 to 999,999 and increase of almost 500%!* ~ July 8th, 2010.

*Part 2 - Resistance based classes were added 2 those of which include (Battle Mage, and Wild Hunter)* ~ July 22nd, 2010.

*Part 3 - Yet another Resistance class added (Mechanic)* ~ August 12th, 2010

That would be a span of just about 1 month to get the entire Big Bang Patch out to the public. With a span of *Part 1 ~ Part 2 - 14 days, Part 2 ~ Part 3 - 20 days, Part 1 ~ Part 3 - 34 days.*

14 + 20 = (34) / 2 = 17 days on average between each part.

We need an idea of what 4.33 months actually looks like in days. More math!

[(30 * 2) + (31 * 2) + 10.5 (For 1/3 of a month approx.)] = 132.5 days or we can round and say 133 days.

Now we can take everything we have learned and put it into one big easy to read estimated release date.

Estimated Release dates:

*Part 1 ~ November 18th, 2010 (July 8th, 2010 ~ November 18th, 2010 is 133 days)*

*Part 2 ~ December 2nd, 2010 (July 22nd, 2010 ~ December 2nd, 2010 is 133 days)*

*Part 3 ~ December 22nd, 2010 (August 12th, 2010 ~ December 22nd, 2010 is 133 days)*

Full patch completion: December 22nd, 2010. (Going from November 18th, 2010 ~ December 22nd, 2010)

If it worked out correctly November 18th, 2010 should be exactly 34 days from December 22nd, 2010. Which it so happens to be! Smile

*Note that these are all estimates and that I could have been wrong somewhere in my math do not go base all your opinions on the release date and such on solely this, Nexon could do something crazy and break the trend you never know I hope you enjoyed leave comments or questions if you have any! Big Grin*

Yours truly,

I like the observations, but still not gonna hold my breath.

Good job. lol'd at the disclaimer.

These estimates really don't mean anything. It'll be released when Nexon America gets it all translated, patched in, and tested. There isn't too much other content to release in the meantime.

I really don't think basing anything on the history of previous patches works in this case. The Big Bang is much bigger than anything formerly released. Classes like Aran, Evan and Dual Blade are very, very, very, very miniscule amounts of data change and implementation compared to the Big Bang, so basing it the same way as those patches is just... flawed, no offense.

A couple of months.

I don't see what they're going to do with Masteria data though, wouldn't that make them actually.. work for once?

My friend was telling me about some gMS exclusive town that will give a 10watk medal? Does this have anything to do with Masteria, or something else entirely, or a faint hope.....?

That's the Medal currently in Tespia, supposedly you get it for completing all the quests in some story line. I wouldn't know since I don't have a Tespia account.

Or, they'll just ignore it and world tour and version-made areas will be 100000000x better than the real Maple World.

There is no town. There is no gms exclusive.

10watk medal is from alien invasion (event?), which is currently in tespia.

Personally, with how the release of Potential and the Big Bang worked, I think it could hit as early as next month. To me, the new exp curve seems perfect for kids going back to school, but then again Nexon doesn't apply logic to anything. Who knows, we've really ran out of content, hopefully we see it before the end of the year and maybe we'll get each update 1 month a part.

Thank you for clearing that up.

Honestly, I would rather they wait to release content. Just so we aren't completely dry of it.

I'm not really worried about content as much as how badly I want the new exp curve. Glitter

But, gMS already has an EXP curve. How much easier do you want leveling to get?

easier++;

Still a nice thing to know, I guess I would expect BB early next year then, due to the massive amounts of changes that need to be made AFTER the content is allowed to be updated (assuming they won't work on integration part before the grace period expires).

Oh and i.e isn't in example, it's id est.

Shouldn't we start counting AFTER all the changes are brought to the official server? They're still changing alot of things, or are the last patches not part of Big Bang?

GMS still need to go through all the job rebalancing before Big Bang even hits if I remember correctly (unless that happened when I somehow wasn't paying attention...). Then of course, I heard that certain quests got reset when Big Bang rolled around so I'm more concerned about getting Quest Specialist before it happens.... xP

I would estimate at the end of the year at the earliest.

lvling is not easy on 1x, theres still lvls that can easily take 10 hours + . 10 hours per lvl =/= easy in my book.

I'd prefer to get a lvl every 3 hours at 120+ till roughly 150, then lvl every 6-7 hours at 150 +

for some people that might be easy, for me a person whos very busy and dosn't want to spend ALL their free time on a MMO, thats ALOT of time to sit around a grind my poor fingers to the bone.

so yes plz BB exp curve. kthx and I HOPE they leave the world tour maps with their current exp and make it game breaking for a while so I can zoom up some lvls.

I'm still getting ~130%/h at 94.

Been getting about that since 5x, and before that it was faster.
