We use those for de-icing the driveway in the winter. Every landscape company in the northeast US does snow removal in the off-season. They all have these.

The scary thing is the weeds grow back.

That's funny. I've been living here for 20 years and I have never seen any company use them in favor of just salting the ice.

I work on roads. I've seen these used for drying out small patches of roads when they're wet.
