★★★★★'s Scorpion Sting Counter!
#1
Hello,
In case you are unfamiliar with scorpions, they are bitter little mother fcukers who sting insects/animals/humans with their stinger as a form of defense (and maybe offense?)

Either way, enter the Arizona Bark Scorpion

This little bastard lives in Arizona and probably the Eastern side of California. It is the most venomous scorpion in all of the US.
(Not saying much)
They vary in size, when they are first born they can be minuscule

to medium size (By this time they usually die via ME SQUISHING THEM)

to the RARE larger size that i have yet to see

The smallest of the bark scorpions can be extremely dangerous, if they sting an extremity (IE Finger/Toe) You will most likely LOSE all nerve function.
This is because the small "Baby" bark scorpions cannot control their venom very well and stings usually have alot of venom in them.

The larger the scorpion, the less lethal they are.

They also GLOW in the light of a black light

ANYWAY to the meat of the thread, I live in an older house... its VERY nice, ontop of a mountain, spacious, etc etc. But because its old (Circa 1960's) there are alot of scorpions living here also.

This summer i have been stung a total of 16 times.

13 times by ONE medium sized one in my pant leg

2 times by an unknown scorpion in my sleep

and 1 time tonight by a BIGASS one that was under my foot while i was grinding.

This isnt an angry dome thread, its more of an info/tally thread i suppose.

THANKS FOR READING!

I've never seen a scorpion outside of a museum in my life. The worst we have here in Virginia are like... Black Widow spiders, which are like a 30 minute death after bite and we don't even have Black Widows here in Virginia Beach. In Virginia Beach, I think the worst thing we have here are wasps/hornets, which are just annoying as fuck. Hornet stings can make you ill, though.

Edit : No, wait... We also have Brown Recluse Spiders, which are rare as hell to find, but if one bites you and you don't treat it soon enough, you might have some... troubles.

I live in a building and have never seen a single scorpion here. ^_^

(though we have another house in the countryside and there are scorpions there, even if not too many)

Actually, I think all your troubles would be gone if you didn't treat it soon enough.
