Least Played Class after New Update?
#1
I've been curious about this recently. Okay, so let's jump about 4 or 5 months into the future. GMS gets the Big Bang update along with the reduced EXP curve (theoretically, I don't know if that's actually going to happen), along with all of the skill revamps.

Paladins used to be almost unheard of before the new class updates, but now they've turned into a class bandwagon. F/P Mages as far as I'm aware, are still pretty low on the list. But after the new update, will F/P Mages still be underplayed? Paladins of course will probably rise in number. Even now, everyone is jumping on the Buccaneer bandwagon as well.

Even then, with the new EXP curve, will any class be severely underplayed? I mean, this would give any skepticals the opportunity to try out any class and level it with ease. Also, with the further homogenizing of classes (Warriors being able to interchange weapons), will any class really be "unique" to play anymore? I used to get people telling me: "Wow, I haven't seen a BW Page in ages". But now, everyone and their mother is playing one.

So, here's my question to you: "What will the most underplayed class be after Maplestory v2?"

here's my answer to you: we don't know yet with the new formula. these things has to take times for players to judge

we can already place a safe bet on DrK's and BM's.

We have to wait and see, but Still MM,loladins, FPs and shadowers JUST because people may still think they suck, but after 3 weeks or so all classes will be played equaly I think.

All I know is, as soon as the 'big bang' update hits I'm making a bandit. I've wanted to make one for 5 years now, and if it wasn't for the atrocious leveling from 30 - 80, I would.

F/Ps are still quite on the bottom. They lost their 1v1 goodness to I/L and also lost their ultimate training...

I'm still waiting for a last KMST change to them OR that DoT works on bosses now. Either would work.

F/P, Cygnus, Evan. Possibly Bishops as Genesis withdraw kicks in. I/L and their new found bossing abilities will rise for sure.

F/P just get all around screwed with inferior versions of I/L Skills.

With the new curve, Cygnus are a joke. It'd be easier to make an Adventurer and level him up to 120 and start enjoying Maple than deal with a Cygnus that can't hit anything over level 120.

Evan are just all around unloved. That sheet put them on par with Bishops for DPS....

Shadowers still don't have great DPS, we're just a hell of a lot more flash now. :3

F/Ps and DrKs I'm guessing will be low on the list. I'm not sure about Bishops as around half of the bishops I talk to are absolutely livid about Gens cooldown and the other half are really excited to use other skills.

I doubt assassins will be underplayed, and if so not for long. The whole ninja aspect is a huge draw, and if they really are becoming less reliant on SE as I hear and get more HP so they don't have to wash like crazy I would expect more people to play them.

I honestly have no idea how Gunslingers will fare. After the revamp they look like they'll be completely broken (5-hitting cannon with a 40% chance to crit AND 30 second ship cooldown?) but I don't know if Gunslinger hell will be reduced, which is really what holds back the number of Corsairs already despite our awesome endgame DPM.

I'm gonna say bishops will be the least played, unless the exp share is changed back.

There'll be a lot less 'lol he still plays that class,' but I think generally the mindset from before will still be there. If I had to choose a class, I honestly think Hero will be seen much less. It seems boring compared to other classes, and that high tier damage they had isn't much of an issue anymore.

loladins/lolShads/lolaneers/lolsMen will be underplayed for a good few months, and every person who bandwagoned a Mage for their Ultimate spamming harassment and loltraining will rage quit, the dumb leechers will rage quit they have to play like everyone else (the smart ones will still find ways to leech, but that leeching potential is still greatly castrated) and all will be better in the Maple world.

inb4 people start mass-party switching with 10 Mages + Buccs with that Time skill on a map.

I totally forgot about Heros. Their DPS gets raped. Hell, Mages do more than them without Apples.

I'd like to see Apples buffed to +100 wAtk and +150 mAtk, or something along those lines. Mages just have so much more mAtk than Melee classes have wAtk. :/

30 - 80 is probably one of the easiest sections as a bandit. 100 - 125 is the hardest.

The mage population in general is going to decrease, as will the DrK population.

I thought heroes got a big boost too O_O. why would heros dps be"raped" ? I thought their dps WAS rape

I'm actually thinking about starting an F/P if they buff Paralyze a little so that F/Ps can be on par with I/Ls. They might actually be enjoyable now.

The least played classes will always be the weakest and most difficult to play. The entire point of skill balancing is to make classes more on par with each other and increase variety in the game, so I'm hoping Nexon can sort this mess out.
