Fake or Assassinate?!

I'm sure some of you remember me making this thread. Let's just face it, guys. Shadowers are the best class in the game and choosing between their all-so-awesome skills is just difficult.

This time it's between Fake and Assassinate.
I've always wanted to get Assassinate early because I always loved the thought of being able to 1HKO a Skelegon with a level 21 uncharged, and it'd make bossing so much more fun/fast. However, after thinking about it more, Fake would just be so useful overall in bossing and training. If I maxed fake right after BStep (Meaning I'd have a level 30 BStep, level 30 Fake, and level 9 MW), then it'd be maxed right around 144. Another thought is doing something similar to what MastaYoshi had done; getting Fake to level 11, throwing a point in Taunt, then working on Assassinate. I'm low DEX, so having Fake's miss-rate stack on to my already high avoidability would just be sexy. I'm curious as to when you other Shadowers are/have maxed faked, and when you worked on Assassinate. Do you really notice a large different for every ten points you put in to fake? (Or in other words, do you really notice the misses for every 10% added on).

But a level 21 Assassinate can be used during training! It's always nice to have an extra skill to pineapple around with to ease the boredom that comes with training...

Assassinate is what I wanted a bandit for.

It looks ohsofun and good for bossing + sometimes training.

i'm doing what lvlastayoshi did and get lvl 1 taunt.

LvL 1 taunt > any lvl venom to me for making training faster. Especially since the path of STR is very very mobby.

After that I'm going to get fake to lvl 20, then get assassinate. Fake helps for bossing and training; while assassinate is only really useful at pap, zakum arms, and headless horseman.

Put 1 point in venom, 1 in fake and 1 in assasinate for every level the next 29 levels, that'd be cool!

Fake - Gets you into Horn Tail even if as a Seduce Mule

Assassinate - Pap/Pianus/Manon/Griffey ownage.

I dont even have lv 20 Assassinate yet. lol... lv 15 tho. Went MW20 cuz I got the book passed.

As for training, I hardly even use, unless im waiting for spawn =x I find attacking normaly faster.

True. tho, at higher lv's It becomes useless if you can 2hit skeles w/ BS. Also those new guardians are good for shadowers and you cant Even posion X_X

id say attacking skills before avoid.. but if one doesnt use this attacking skill that often.
then avoid would help a lot more.

Assassinate 30 is 250m in Scania, with 50% chance of failing. Fake max is just godly.

Fake, definitely. It's a 40% success rate, beats us Night Lord's Fake30 (30% success rate <___< -glares-). And yeah, Assassinate30 = way too much mesos to afford. Definitely get Fake.. if not, get Fake until it is at a reasonable + usable level and success rate, something along 25%-30% success rate? -shrugs-

Yeah, it took me until last month to realize how ridiculously rare Assassinate 30 is, and I thought BStep 30 was expensive. I'm really leaning more towards getting fake now (And yes, I understand Venom is important, but I seriously don't care much about it.).

One of my alliancemates spams assassinate and boomstep to train, and she said that fake and high avoid really complement assassinate, so I would suggest getting max fake first. Assassinate doesn't have any invincibility period, so fake would probably really nice for coming out of dark sight and not taking damage. She also chains up dark sight, then assassinate, then boomstep into a macro, which lets her use boomstep right after assassinate while canceling assassinate's last hit. If you don't get hit coming out of dark sight, you won't have to use a potion and break the macro. The extra levels it takes to max assassinate also helps your natural avoid.

Well its actually 200m+ in scania, and thats if you can find the book for sale in the first place. I've only seen assassinate 30 sold 3 times. I've never actually seen the book myself, but I know my friend passed it, someone sold in a smega, and someone has an SS of them passing here in khaini. -_-"

I'm definently going fake lol, atleast to lvl 20.
