What kind of pets have you always wanted?
#1
Personally, I've always been interested in Chameleons and Ferrets. I sorta looked into Chinchillas at one point, but one of my friends did own a Chinchilla, and he said they're really annoying at night (since they're most active then), I'd rather not have one. >_>; Been interested in Chameleons just because they camouflage, and I've always been fond of lizards. As for ferrets, those things are just adorable. Nuff said.

Color change is also used as an expression of the physiological condition of the lizard, and as a social indicator to other chameleons. Some research suggests that social signalling was the primary driving force behind the evolution of color change, and that camouflage evolved as a secondary concern.
the Smith's dwarf chameleon - use their color-changing ability to blend in with their surroundings, as an effective form of camouflage.

Most of them change their color like we change our facial expression.

OT, I want a puppy. Exotic pets are cool and all, but they don't do anything. Ferrets are like 3 year olds: Cage them up or child lock the ENTIRE house. Puppies are nice, easy to train, protect your house, and always want to do something with you. Just have to get past that house breaking issue and the "Ima ganna chew everything you own"-stage, which varies with breed.

I just want a dog. I got a uromastyx lizard, and I deeply regret it. They're just boring. They look cool, and all, but they don't do anything.

Well, of course, lizards don't play with you. They're just there.

I already have the pet I've most wanted.

That's not actually a picture of my dog, of course, but they're practically identical. Doesn't grow too much larger than that size and they're cute as can be.

Miniature Dachshund in case anyone was wondering.

And that's where I made my mistake. I thought I'd enjoy just owning something that was "cool."

Probably never going to happen, and highly unrealistic, but I'd want a hawk. It'd be cool to just be walking around town, and then have a giant hawk land on my shoulder.

You don't want a ferret. They reek so bad.

I want a dog. My old one died of cancer, and I've always wanted a new one after the shock ran out 2 years after his death =/.

I've always wanted a turtle or a lizard. My mom is terrified of snakes for some reason I cannot fathom, though, and thinks that all reptiles will act like snakes.

For real always wanted a Chinchilla, my friend had one in elementary and I used to always go over to see it lol.

Right now I'd like a cat or a wellbehaved puppy, im so lonely at home lol.

I've always wanted some sort of dog, like a Corgi or something. Short haired, small, cute, energetic, all that. The thing is that my mom won't let me, so I'll just get one in the distant future when I'm living by myself.

Other than a cat/dog, and I already have normal fishes

Going all out these would all be cool pets that I'd like to own:

A lion/tiger
A snaaaaake
A tarantula/scorpion
A white rat/mouse
An Asian arowana
A chinchillla
A guinea pig
A parrot
A hawk/eagle
An African Giant Millipede
A pet skunk
A bunny
A turtle/tortoise
An iguana
A gecko
A frog
A bearded dragon
A chameleon

I may be a petaphile.

Awaits for someone to exploit my last sentence.
