Way to clean a laptop screen?

Well, I've had this laptop for almost a year now, and the screen and most of the exterior collects dust like no tomorrow. I don't exactly know what is best, but I've heard using any kind of paper towel will scratch it, yet my friends recommend Windex sprayed on a paper towel. Is there a solution to this that won't require me paying money for a super special cloth and will not harm my screen drastically?

When I turn off my screen, I don't see any scratch marks on it, personally. I own several PCs and one laptop at home, and I clean them all the same way. Either:

a) paper towels
b) Kleenexs

No joke. Kleenex is pretty soft, and just a couple light spray on the monitor is enough, and just wipe it a couple of times. If it's still a bit wet, wipe it again with a new Kleenex and it'll look great! I usually do it in a circular motion. If you're afraid of it scratching your monitor, you could try cloths. There are one specifically for cleaning laptop or PC monitors, and I don't think they cost very much either. I use stuff like Windex as a solution, and Kleenex to do the job.

EDIT: Apparently, Windex can slowly destroy your display's panel since it contains ammonia. Though after doing the same thing for 4 years, I haven't seen a change with my laptop at all. It looks brand-new like when I first got it too. I guess that's partly because I rarely clean my monitor anyways.

Go to the dollar store, buy those microfiber cloths used for glasses.

Make it slightly damp, gently wipe your screen with it.

For harder stains, that won't go off after several passes, try the tiniest bit of soap, to get the oil off.

Paper towel and kleenex WILL leave lint behind.

DO NOT, DOOO NOT USE WINDEX or any other cleaning agent.

Well, I just turned my computer off and used less than a spray of Windex on a single towel and wiped, I know never to spray those directly on LCD's. I'll have to look into buying a microfiber cloth when I get some more spray cleaner for my glasses.
