Why Dual Blades were limited.
#1
Well, Nexon obviously plans ahead.
The patch that was recently released, included bonus damage on bosses and ignoring the defense of monsters.
Dual blades have 2 weapons.

Let's say you have a dagger with 30% bonus damage on bosses, and a blade with 30% bonus damage on bosses.
That's 60% extra damage. Not to mention Final cut, which increases 200% to your damage, and CoH.

Same situation with ignoring a monster's W.DEF.

Example of bonus damage, ignore defenses

You're talking about the damage bonus from those loldurability weapons right? It's not like there's a blade weapon that gives that kind of bonus. o.o Besides, chances are it'll just be to a different monster type, so rather than insane damage boosts they get double the amount of monsters to get additional damage from.

Nope, not durability items. They weren't released on this patch, but on the patch before.

You're funny.
Nexon is slowly itching towards NX exclusive content in Maple: They've done it in their other games.

Final Cut does not double your damage.

No it doesn't. It increases your damage on each hit by 200% (like crit, 250% hits go to 450%, etc.) The damage boost is not applied to Mirror Image hits. I can prove it if you don't believe me.

Hell yes. They generally don't ruin the game just to make a quick buck.

200% = 2x?
It still is a huge damage boost.

No. Unlike everyone else, I won't laugh at you.
It's +200%.
If a skill does 400%, It'll do 600%. Instead of 800% like you would think.

Didn't bother reading after 200%, but I still misunderstood you. :l

Edit: My bad , sorry for the dumb post above :O

I still get your point though. DB's are the only job that really uses 2 weapons so they could get a double potential bonus from both dagger / blade compared to all the other jobs.

However, I don't think nexon thoroughly planned this. I lean more to the theory that DB was just an strategy of nexon to make quick money and the time limit was there so every body would run and make one.

Like they'd say: "Wanna be the best with easy effort? Get some NX now !!"

Actually... This 30% damage increase is going to be a COMPLETE beast with bowmasters. hurricane gets the 30% boost COMPLETELY. In fact, skills with a lower % base damage get this boost better. It's gonna be, at least, interesting...

Bowmasters and Night Lords should get quite a kick out of this...but 30% could potentially be a big boost for everyone.

Do we know if it's +30% damage per hit or 1.3x damage range?
