ihave6dex's very long saturday with horntail on 4/24/10
#1
I figured I'd post this for fun since a lot of my friends wanted me to. I pretty much wasted 12 hours and somewhere over one billion mesos to see how far I could challenge ol Horntail with just me as attacker and a lvl 100 30k hp sader sed mule controlled by me as well. The results well uh I made it far but long ways to go heh. Some amount of the right head was still left and both arms but I wonder how it would of gone if I had tons of help on preheads. I still think I would have been very close on the time even then. Maybe I'll try when I gain like 100 attack more haha but it would be with a healer as well for my sed mule. Anyway without further adieu here are some pics as I am too lazy to make a vid from all that I frapsed. Run was recorded partially with fraps and the day was 4-24-10. I kinda pissed of mecate's ht group by delaying their run aha.

Here's what I started with:
Hero: lvl 200
ales:5385
sorcerer elixirs:2588
holy waters:800
all cures:380
eye drops:348
wheels:89
apples:121

Bob: lvl 100 sader 30k hp
honsters:4500
wheels:75

I forget how much of all that I used but I had like 4 apples, 0 wheels, and 1.5k ales left on hero lol.

Now for some pics! I suck at making vids so this will do for now:
 Spoiler

I figure if I was hardly ever main sed, then maybe I would have finished or made it much further. It's hard to say how much the arms would slow me down at the end. Taking down an arm anytime except last is suicide as you get sed as soon as you respawn nearly. Also I had to be very careful not to have mobs near spawn entrance or I'd die immediately with only 50 hp from wheel. All in all I don't know if I would really push myself to do that again haha unless I had a bishop to heal sed and a lot more attack. Thanks for reading!

Special Thanks to:
Khandi aka xhaloless: Thanks for helping fund the run at the last minute that day! <3 ya
Prestigious: You guys rock
kiki aka xverticai: Thanks for letting me use your attack shieldHeart
chickenpoodl: for motivating me to try again after dcing midway through one time already

Epic.

What made you switch up the normal killing order?

Damn. That's all I can say. Absolute damn pro, my friend. I know many of us have been waiting to see attempts like this made, but just wow. You made it a lot farther than I imagined, with only two characters. Fantastic work, and best luck in the future if you go for further attempts!

thanks guys for all the support. I was hoping the right head could not super def with mid head down but guess I was wrong. I don't think either way would of made a huge diff I guess.

While I respect the TC's commitment to soloing HT, I don't know if I'd call spending a consecutive 12 hours in front of the computer playing a game and spending large amounts of virtual cash "absolute damn pro." You've got to draw the line between committed and having way too much time on your hands somewhere, and I think this might fall on the other side of the line. Of course, I'm being a hypocrite here. I did a couple 6 hour grinding sessions myself back when I was playing MS. Now I don't want to be "that guy" (probably too late), so I'll just say, hope you have a good break from HT after that and better luck next time.

I think you're being too pessimistic, and just let him enjoy what he considers an accomplishment. Rather than bash what he does with his own time.

Lol in my defense none of that money I spent was my money. It was all mts nx from selling my shield. Now the 12 hours yah that was the most time I've ever played ms in one chunk. I actually have a 40 hour a week job too. Everyone is welcome to their opinion though. It was a fun experience to see the limits of my character.

Why do you have such an insane mount of wheels? I thought you can only revive 10 times max at the same map?

Lol? No. o.o That's like saying you can only use safety charms 10 times in a row.

Saw this on SW, and I thought....man that's just one of the gutsiest things I've seen someone attempt in MS.

Keep it up! Biggrin
