The Notorious Marksman Glitch

Yeah, this is just a little something that demonstrates my frustration with this glitch. This crap needs to be fixed. I'm so damned tired of having to deal with this. Just watch closely. When I fire Dragon's Breath at a certain point in the video, everything just stops, and the game disconnects. This happens to me OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER again when I train here. -_-

I can't even think of a logical idea as to why it would D/C you like that. Somehow, if frostprey and DB hits at the same time, it creates an error and closes the client...but i can't think why.

It's not that. I use Frostprey in place of Blizzard all the time. If the monsters are frozen, and then pushed back, that's where the disconnect happens. It happens to me all the time when Frostprey isn't even summoned. @_@

This is actually in every version of MapleStory and has existed since 4th job was ever released in KMST.

Go figure. I'm just ready for it to be patched out already. D:

You froze and pushed mobs a lot in that video though...

Yep, I know. I was actually trying to get myself disconnected though. But, the way I was handling those mobs in the video is how I train there, so I disconnect a lot. I don't disconnect quite as much at skeles, because Pierce kills them too fast. To me, Blizzard + Dragon's Breath is an amazing combo that works very well in a lot of maps, especially Oblivion 4. The fact of the matter is still that this glitch is very, very frustrating, and the fact that it hasn't been fixed yet is just stupid. Oblivion 4 is faster than skeles for me, but as you can see, I can't train there. @_@

How about pushing and then freezing?

Same issue with Bow Masters. If you use arrow bomb and then Dragons Breath right after, you run the risk of DCing.

This tends to be more annoying than the Marksman glitch tbh.

The glitch, I believe, has to do with DB being a "forced" KB skill, and while frozen, mobs are in their KB animation, and when using DB on a frozen mob, it conflicts or something because its frozen in the KB animation, but tries to re-apply it or something when DB hits. Not too sure tho.

it frustrates me more that you took up 1:31 minutes of my life by having to read bullcrap that could have been written on the description.

Pretty sure that applies here.

I went Opomegranate when I saw that. How do you explain the immovability of the mobs though? Being frozen != being immovable.

Brb training my SE mule for personal experience.

I think he means the KB frames. You can't KB a KB'd monster. Though, if that were the case, I think Vipers would also be suffering from this glitch, but we're not. I think it has to do with status inflicted mobs being double KB'd. The client can't read it correctly and has no choice but to close (like an error 38). That's just a theory, though.

Well Kalovale, I really tried this. Many, many times too. At skeles, pushing then freezing works better, but like I said, pierce kills them too fast for me to bother with it, so it's not really an issue. But at Oblivion 4, the Guards have ten times the range on their attacks, and I take almost 2k more damage from them. Freezing then pushing is an excellent form of mob control, in that you can basically stack them up without them ever attacking. When you push them back without freezing, they attack while you're mobbing them up with Dragon's Breath, and I use up many, many more potions. And since the guards can practically hit you from across the entire length of the map, keeping them frozen is my first priority when mobbing them.

That must be really annoying if training with 2x buff.

JESUS, did we need 2 minutes of text with super slow transitions? It was a nice demonstration but it was too much in the beginning.
