Who wants to adopt a deaf chinchilla?

This was posted on Reddit.com and i figured it would be appreciated here.

Appearantly there is a college that uses 300 chinchillas a year to study the effects of loud factory noise on them. The chinchillas end up deaf and end up dying/killed.

Now rather than the chinchillas dying, a student of the college is emailing a director of the college about the adoption of the chinchillas.

T^T My mom is cruel...and she hates anything that can eve barely resemble a rat....

I'm thinking it might be more humane to put them out of their misery...

I know the Mice we use in my university labs get fed to snakes, so it's not a total waste.
