Since you are new to Maple, I suggest putting all of those ponts into STR. Get the 35 base str required to be a warrior, then have dex = 2x your level until lvl 30. Then do 4 str 1 dex a level until lvl 50, at which you can add 5 str a level.

As a warrior you don't need luk or int. You should only add points into str and dex, but the amount of dex you add all depends on your amount of funding. Since this is your first time playing maple, I would suggest capping your dex around 60. This is what I did, my warrior was my first char also. But, you won't need 60 dex until about lvl 80, so a suggestion would be to keep your dex as low as possible until you get to lvl 80. For warriors, dex add acc and a small amount of damage, so more str=more damage. An easy way to make sure you have enough dex, but not too much would to just keep your dex equal to your level, so level 10 have 10 dex, level 30 have 30 dex up to lvl 60 having 60 dex. One thing to keep in mind is that if you find you really like this game and decide to fund yourself with nx or just get rich in game without nx, you can go with a lower dex. I hope this makes sense, but I am sure someone with more knowledge will post soon and answer any other questions. If not, you can pm me and I will try to help

It could be, but adding more dex is always easier than taking it away. I started out unfunded and even though I did gacha once, from levels 70 to 85, training at fog, h.voodoos and then wolf spiders( all which have low acc requirements) I was able to make over 120m just from training. 120m easily buys you a zhelm and a dex overall if you need it. With the rohen out now, a lot of people use that until 80, and earning enough mesos to buy a helm later.

Youre right there, but unless he uses a Maple wep, 50-70 will suck as he wont have enough acc to hit monsters in lmpq (the majority's training ground).

Thanks for your help.
EDIT: I have 10 million mesos maybe 20 million coming in from a friend, does that count?

Yes it does, it counts for very much. I will list the equips that will help you the most, in order of cost effectiveness.
Certain NPC's sell 100% scrolls for 70k. These scrolls have a 100% chance of working. They take up one slot each, and add 1 stat each. One of the most helpful 100% scrolls is overall dex. DEX NOT DEF. (I made that mistake once) When you hit lvl 35, buy a blue crusader chainmail from any npc listed here
and use 10 100% scrolls for overall dex from here . Now you have a 14 dex overall for about 500k. Another cheap source of accuracy is accuracy red snowshoes. You can get a 6 accuracy (dont worry about the other stats) pair for about 2m. Helmet- just get a blue bamboo hat, People sell them for like 15k. Earring- Way too expensive to worry about scrolling these. Pendant- You can CPQ for a spiegelmanns necklace. Maple Coins drop during the cpq, once you have 50 maple coins, talk to spiegelmann, click exchange coins, and get a spiegelmanns necklace. Gloves- These are important. They are your only other source of a stat that is vital to warriors, .weapon attack. From lvl 15-24 or 25 ish you can train at a map called pig beach The monsters on this map (pigs and ribbon pigs) drop etc. items called leathers. Bring 15 leathers and 1k mesos to JM from Tha Streetz in Kerning City, click on the option create gloves. Then go to work gloves, say you want 1, and he will take the leathers and the mesos and make you work gloves. Then, every where you go, be in channel 1, saying B>glove att 100%s
Buy 5 of them, for 500k each. Now scroll your work glove so it is 5 attack. Now, your weapon. Whichever weapon type you chose to go with (1h sword, 2h sword, 1h bw 2h bw 1h axe 2h axe spear, polearm) once you hit lvl 30,
Use 7 100%s on your weapon in lvl 30, 35 and the maple weapon, lvl 43. (the lvl 30 and 35 weapons can be bought at the same npc that sells the blue crusader chainmail. After doing all these, you will have ~18 accuracy added, and 5mil left. Btw, 1 dex adds .8 acc, warriors need accuracy, not dex. Dex is the easiest way to get acc though, as dex equips can cost a lot.
With this, you will be able to have less dex, so you can have more str, so you can have better damage to in turn train faster.

Pig Beach has a very difficult monster to kill called Iron Hog, which spawns once a while. If you're afraid of it, there's a great map for pigs called "Rainforest East of Henesys". After you outgrow that, there's a map called Caution Falling Down, accessed from the yellow mark on this map.

Your picture isnt allowed, so I'll put one in my post. IMO Pig Beach is a lot better than the rainforest, and if an iron hog spawns, just cchange channels. Heres the real link for caution falling down :

I suggest you cap your dex at 40, getting enogh accuracy to train effectivley won't be a problem, you can easily by lvl 40 from just doing a few measily quests make a TON of money , more then enogh to not worry about accuracy for a LONG time, a 100%'ed blue crusader chainmail a nice atk glove, and 8 accuracy shoes will go along way, also i recomend going to ludibrium and buying ALOT of sniper potions, they give 10 accuracy for 10 min, VERY usefull... I'm not sure what server your playing in so I dunno prices to tell you exactly what you can get and how/what u should do, but i HIGHLY suggest you read ALOT of guides as to not mess up your char...btw don't ever raise your dex past 60 >_< going trough a few rough levels is nothing compared to having low damage and having all your high lvls take AGES

He is right, you want to keep dex as low as possible, but always keep in mind, extra weapon attack>lower dex. So money goes into attack equips, then dex/acc equips. EDIT: Here's a very useful acc calculator: Great Accuracy Needed calculator

Eh I have 90 dex and I'm too cheap to reset, but back when I started everyone needed higher dex since we had less to get acc from and no zhats =P But now I really don't suggest you raise it past 60 you could probably go 50 or lower easily. for the lower levels caution falling down is a great map.

i have 15 base dex and the only outstanding equips i have are 11 (or 12, don't remember) acc red snowshoes, a 7 acc brown bandanna and the maple impaler with 30 acc.
with those equips i have 9x accuracy...
my suggestion is: do not add dex to X just because someone tells you too. keep your dex at the lowest possible until you see you need some more accuracy to train efficiently in a new monster. see if you can get some accuracy equipment cheap and if not, THEN raise dex.
other suggestions: never get a glove scrolled for DEX, always for ATK. do not buy DEX scrolled shoes, buy ACC scrolled shoes (shoes jump scroll add DEX, shoes DEX adds ACC). if you have the money and feel a little extra attack can help you train faster, buy 100% scrolls for ATT for your weapon from any scroll vendor.
for equips: always see if you can scroll an equip for ACC, if you can't then scroll for DEX.
and finally, besides this site (which is pretty good, you can always post a thread when in doubt) you could research http://www.global.hidden-street.net for some miscellaneous info and http://www.basilmarket.com if you're not a nx user and want to sell/buy some stuff.
hope it helps and good luck.

I read through this and noticed that mastery was never mentioned (or I at least never saw it). In your second job, you get a skill that allows you to raise the minimum damage of a certain weapon and your accuracy while holding the weapon depending on the job you choose. Each type of warrior gets two different mastery skills: pages get sword and blunt weapon, fighters get sword and axe, and spearmen get spear and pole-arm. When you are calculating your accuracy, keep the mastery skill in mind.

100% scrolls (they are blue) can be bought from NPCs in-game. they're 100% scrolls, 'cause they work 100% of the time.
every other type of scroll (10%,30%,60%,70%) has to be bought from other players or gotten from quests. equips from 50+ also have to be bought from other players or gotten from quests.
and like beserker101 said, in 2nd job you get the mastery skill. it adds 20 acc and it's the first skill you need to max in 2nd job.
all that we have posted is probably too much information for you to process, so my suggestion is read this, some guides and check some internet maple story sites as references.
