New Player

So...I'm breaking my ~year long time of lurking to ask questions about DFO - yay?

Anyway, I've been bored lately, and my friend and I are thinking about playing this. Basically, we just want general advice / tips / etc.

For him:
-Big fan of melee classes - any recommendations?

For me:
-Fan of healing / indirect combat - any class reccomendations? (Currently thinking summoner - very interested in one)
-Certain server/world we should join?
-Etc. general advice (Ie. use of cubes, equipment, stats, anything else)

If it helps, we've both played MapleStory and WoW, so maybe relating things to those would help?
Also, I'm not coming here and expecting you to answer everything (although I do hope I get a reply or more) - currently downloading the game / googling guides.

Melee would probably be Striker, Weapon Master, Grappler, or Monk. Those are really heavy in melee combat. Buffs/heals is crusader, which is a GIANT TANK and a crazy buffer, you'll GREATLY increase your friend's damage if you go this way for full support. Summoner will be a pain for your friend to work with because the summons obstruct the screen and he probably won't be able to see the monsters. Stats are COMPLETELY equipment based other than small stat growth which is automatic, look out for equipment that isn't blue or white in name, these are the good items. There is only one server, Cain: The Fatality. Uhhh, keep all materials, you never know when you need them. And that's about it as far as your questions go. I'm disorganized too.
