Yay for script kiddies?
#1
I left Time Temple this morning and headed over to Leafre. I'm leaving for New York at 7:15 and won't be back till late tomorrow so I decide to do the crayon quest as soon as possible. But over by Tatamo is a high-level bishop taking damage. I waited for ~2 minutes and watched. The bishop must be a hacker or bot as they don't show up on the rankings (hackers get removed from rankings at some point; real IGN is shown when clicked on and is a little ridiculous).

Anyway, they keep spamming some yellow striking skill that takes 1 damage from them then eventually use heal. I just thought it was odd and wanted to share. But really... I know there's a bunch of hacks today but why'd someone waste their time on something like this? :f6: Script kiddies, pffft.

If this isn't something shady someone tell me what the heck this is. o_o

I've seen another mage using some some sort of godmode the other day. I tried to kill her with vikerola and all that would happen is that she would go into the "panting" animation but no take damage at all.

I've seen this one around as well. Possibly some sort of godmode (take a constant 1 damage to prevent taking any other damage).

Too bad there aren't any monsters with 1000 tick poison. That'd show em.

He's taking damage from Bodyguard B by resending the packet, this will recover the player's MP to full.

Uhh no, Bodyguard B's magic attack heals mp. Nobody knows why, it's just some sort of oddly-coded attack.

I'm pretty sure it's an error with the amount of damage it deals, and the maximum damage you can actually take. Someone more savvy than me can poke into it's attack data xD

No, it's coded to decrease HP to 1 and max heal MP. o_o

It's actually coded to reduce 50k mp, which probably just loops around the 30k cap and heals you for 20k mp. It also only does 1 damage.

To bad the 30K limit doesn't apply to regular old damage, would be funny if HT tails started healing you =]

Makes me wonder how many Bishops sit in the higher level mini dungeons botting ultimates intermingled with heal all day while sending that packet.

For some reason maybe because of the 30k hp/mp cap they decided it wasn't worthwhile.

Like the wdef cap that affects Anego, this is a matter of JMS writing content and not testing whether it works at all like expected. I think a lot of players know the game better than the people running non-KMS versions.

That is an understatement, unfortunately.
